Did he delete himself? I couldnt stand his sense of humor, but I know he spent a hell of alot of time on HTGTH and i just noticed his account deleted and him being at guest status. Anyone know whats up with that?

Hey all. RN here. I'm not coming back for good, but I think I should defend myself since there is a thread going on here about me, and then I'm gone again.

What happened was, I did make a fake VR news post. It was a faux message from Matt Sorum, saying that VR was to break up since they couldn't compete with Axl. It was meant as a joke, pure and simple. Yeah it was lame, but people post goofy shit all the time. There is no way, no way at all that anyone would have read that and taken that seriously. I think it was totally lame that I got negative Karma for that.

If you are going to give negative Karma, fine. But it should be for genuinely acting like a dick and starting fights, not for something so petty and minor. I have enough going on in my life, with asshole coworkers, doctors, police, etc., who are difficult. The last thing I want to deal with is petty dipshit moderators who have let a little power go to their head (no that doesn't mean you Jarmo). I don't like the way the board is being run, so I am leaving.

Jarmo, while I don't agree with the way you let your mods run the board, and while I think the board has turned into a Nazi-state, I want to thank you for the memories. I had a blast on this board and I thank you for the service you have provided so many fans. Please don't take this as a personal attack on you, you're a good guy and a loyal GN'R fan. But I feel that I have to leave as a protest to the way you have let this karma thing ruin the board.

And yes, I did have a "Negative Karma appreciation" thread, and I meant it. But only for breaking the law once, and getting a -1, for something you did deserve it for.

I couldnt imagine being on this forum for as long as I have and quitting right before CD comes out.

I like Richard but I don't see the big deal getting a negative Karma point.

At that point it was at -2. You know all the posters who have a -2  and more are dicks. I didn't think a -2 mark reflected my character. And as I said before, my Sourm post was so fake, no one would have been fooled. It was a joke. It wouldn't have fooled anyone.

If you posted the thing as satire, which I believe knowing you, then really what's the big deal? You often start and write posts that are dripping with sarcasm, it's nothing new.

Negative two karma? I would think you would wear that as a badge of honor.  8)

I would just like to go on record as saying that, in my opinion, the negative karma dished out to Richard Nixon was completely, and utterly, absurd. The second one, that is.
