it's actually pretty funny to read some of the answers.

this one from Supaplex cracked me up good.

If, yes, what's your favorite piece of memorabilia you have in your possession?

a muffler, bought it from two guys outside the arena in budapest this year

 rofl

Ok, I have to ask since I know a muffler to be a piece of a vehicle.? Does this word have some other type of meaning that I am unaware of?

i don't think so and thats why i thought it was so funny!

i picture thiis guy walking away from a gn'r gig, totaly high after seeing guns, carrying a fuckin rusty dirty ol' muffler under his arm lol

i bet the guy who sold it was pretty happy about the deal aswell he he

 ok

isnt' a muffler like a thick scarf?? Huh
maybe it was the wrong word but i'm pretty sure the dictionary i searched in to be sure is not wrong
lostrose got the answer right. it's the thing you wear around your neck in winter, and it's not a scarf because it's thicker like lostrose said. but if you have a better word let me know ok

Regarding the poster who was surprised by those listeners who listened to "bad" or what now appears to be uncool music prior to G N'R, just to characterise the time and perhaps Guns N' Roses significance: There was no internet nor even alternative. There were bands such as R.E.M and the Cure or Punk bands such as The Misfits and the Circle Jerks, but there wasn't a collective label. CD's actually were still fairly new. I was in middle school and had barely reched the beginning of adolesence when "Appetite" was released. Older groups such as Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones and The Who seemed to be from an earlier generation and had not yet undergone a resurgance. So by the time the "Sweet Child O' Mine" Video was released, it was a breath of fresh air-- something new and authentic and our own. It is this that made groups such as Poison and even Motley Crue appear to be inauthentic. Growing up in the suburbs and small towns-- one would be fortunate to have access to an urban record  store to be more "in the know". To this day I must say I find it convienent to be hip... Regarding what has happened to the band in the interviening years, it is of novel proportions for which the last page has yet to be written...

Have you ever met anybody from the board (a person you didn't know before you registered here)? I saw a guy wearing a HTGTH shirt in the concert, it said at the back, "we know about patience"...was it Jarmo??? I almost went to say hi, but felt inadequate. I was staring at him a lot though

No, I didn't go to the Helsinki shows. Sad
