Just a quick review:
They really were on it. I was fortunate enough to be backstage both before and after the show. Just a good vibe all the way around. I took the show in from Front Of House (Light & Sound mixing boards) so I had a perfect view.
People are always going to have their opinions about Axl Rose, old members vs. new members, whether Chinese Democracy was worth the wait, etc. But you cannot deny that this band is so much more polished than previous incarnations, and is very, for lack of a better word, PROFESSIONAL in how they play. Everything from the pyro to the lights to the setlist: all flawless in my opinion. What you would expect from a veteran rock band touring these days (Foos, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, etc.). Give the crowd what they want all while staying true to yourself.
Personal highlights for me: Jungle (still gets me going after 25 years), Scraped, This I Love, Don't Cry. Don't Cry was surprisingly powerful live; was REALLY into it.
Band also went on shortly after 10 pm.
Jarmo - saw you come out to FOH with your camera. By the time I went to introduce myself, you had moved on! :-(
If you haven't seen them yet on this tour, do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret.

Also I wish we'd get more videos of Shackler's Revenge on Youtube. Its being played consistently but hardly anything is showing up on Youtube. The song rocks and we neeeeeed those videos!
