Simply amazing to be able to creatively be able to produce that many albums in such a short space of time. I sometimes wish he would slow down though, as I think a lot of people overlook his work because of the amount of work he produces. Still amazing though...  drool

Would be cool with a best-of complication.

How successful are all these releases though? If I said I bought Buckethead's new album people wouldn't have a clue who it was.

If I said Axl Rose was touring with songs from the 1980s everyone would know who he was.

Everyone says what a great guitarist BH is so he obviously is very talented, just like to know if he's a successful artist for all the works he puts out there?  peace

Please tell me he doesn't wear the mask & bucket these days, too scary. Anyone have a photo of what he really looks like?

The bucket and the mask are necessary. Without them the picture would be incomplete. Just like Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley without their KISS make up

Did he perform like this prior to being in Guns?

I see what you're saying but Leo Sayer used to wear full makeup earlier in his career and then gave it up. Didn't affect his popularity at all.

However if BH fans like the look then it's best he keeps it - like you say if Kiss came on stage & performed without their makeup it would be a bit of a letdown.  Roll Eyes

Yes, since the late 80's.

For those new to BH; YT liveversions of 'soothsayer', 'welcome to bucketheadland' and 'Jordan' ok

However if BH fans like the look then it's best he keeps it

Or if that is his preference. He doesn't allow public photos of his face.

While rock is actually a genre of popular music, BH is not so much of a popartist 2 put it like that Tongue

Sure, it also gives him his privacy as nobody recognises him when he's out.

However if he was to return to a concert I was at I would just have to turn my back on him when he came near my side of the stage.  nervous
I guess it's all those 80s horror movies with the villain in a mask, even on old videos I don't look at him - nothing personal to him but I only watch men wearing masks in movies, not on stage  yes

I've noticed so many comments by fans of that era how great his playing is, good on him for his success. I thought there was a photo of him without the mask & he had long curly hair. Didn't Robin wear a mask at some stage? I've seen a photo & he looked really weird compared to what he really looks like. I don't know him either, again fans seem to like his playing too.

Cheers norway  ok

Haha so you say it's not a mask? Is is face painted? I found photos of him & he is/was quite a good looking guy - not sure how old the photos were.

Yes I listened to that music & he certainly sounded good.
