youtube is the one the tool that dumbed the internet down.
along with blogs
myspace and world of warcraft.

i wish we could go back to texte based internet

or that people would need to pass a malloc test before even posting on the internet

i like you tho.

They recently had to delete tons of videos, (not sure of that is done yet) for copyright-infringement
I think it's an exellent use of the medium tho :peace:

I'm going to apply to a polytechnic and one of the tasks I have to do for the application is to write about YouTube or IRC-Galleria (a Finnish site). I have to think about why it is so succesful site and who uses it and stuff like that. But anyway, I like YouTube. It's a good way to kill some time when I'm at school and you can find pretty cool Gn'R-stuff from there. For musicians it's a great way to spread their music, although MySpace is growing all the time. But YouTube has a big influence on people these days..

"Whatever I'm Totally Buggin" why do you think it has "dumbed down" the internet, surely It has given people (who otherwise wouldn't have) a platform for creativity.

i was refering to the many "easy" tools that came along with the infamous web2.0
just that the easier it gets to post things online, the more trash you get
am i wrong?
