I have a friend who runs a guitar shop, and he has just opened an online store for strings and accesories. The benefit being that he is in the Channel Islands, so all items under ?18 are tax free! (or sans TVA if you prefer mon ami!).

He's a great guy who runs his shop for the love of it and it's a great concept to offer this stuff minus the taxmans cut (it's all perfectly legal, HMV have just opened a mail order warehouse there for exactly the same tax reasons).
