Why does this bother you so much? TWILIGHT and THE WRESTLER were my 2 fav films and I thought it was cool to see 2 of my fav actors together. I was VERY UPSET that Mickey lost. I love watching the Oscars and I thought it would be fun to discuss. Edward is my dream guy and Randy the Ram is more of my codependent reality!

If the third movie is coming out next summer, does that mean the sequel to TWILIGHT is coming out in the very near future?  Do you realize what this means?  After getting burned out from watching illegal downloads of the second movie and seeing it many times at the theater, we will get a new one right the second movie to tide us over until the next one!

I thought Mickey deserved the Oscar.  His performance in The Wrestler is the best I've ever seen - so real and honest.

Sean Penn is amazing as well. It says a lot about an actor who can go from being the mean guy in Casualties of War to a gay rights advocate in Milk.

The best way to appreciate this movie is to read Stephenie Meyer's rough draft of MIDNIGHT SUN which is TWILIGHT from Edward's perspective. www.stepheniemeyer.com  It's too bad some jerk leaked it, she may never write the final edition. Something we GNR fans can relate to. Anyway, knowing what is going on in Edward's head is what made me love the movie so much. I just love Eddie my EMO vampire!

Stephenie was inspired by an actual dream to write the books. The publisher put them in the young adult section. I think 11 and 12 is too young. 13 and up is more age appropriate. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was in high school and she fell in love with 2 different vampires who were much older than her. When I went to one showing of TWILIGHT I saw some 11 or 12 year olds and they were so offended when I asked if they were waiting to see BOLT. But my fav show GOSSIP GIRL which is a total guilty pleasure, is SO INAPPROPIATE  for it's target audience. But if I had kids I would want to be a cool Mom so I would let my kids watch both. Now 50 Cent's song CANDY SHOP which was basically an ode to blowjobs was horrific to my ears when I  thought about young girls singing to it.

As I remember the plot;
A teenage girl moves to live with his father in the middle of nowhere. Orginal? No. Kinda like a PC rpg-game that starts by killing giant rats or other vermins.

In school she meets this guy, who she falls in love with, but omg, it turns out he's a vampire, which is superhot for teenagekiddies.
But no sweat, the dude's an emo-vegan-fruitcake-vampire and he doesn't want her blood.

Obviously the urge is there, so I just wonder what happens when she's on her period, oh well.

The couple get to know eachother and kiddies, since sex is after marriage only, they just hold hands. Such good rolemodels those two. The girl even gets to meet the boys family, (and thinks, yay, he loves me!) the family turn to be other fruitcake-vampires from vegan-clan.

Next they do all fun stuff together like play baseball and go fishing and fingerpaint! After all familystuff is a virtue and kids need to learn that, also the vampire-boy is so hot 'cos they all cheat while playing since they use superspeed... and all the teenkiddies wish they get to ... 'cos superspeed is just so cool also!

Alas the bad vampire-bullies come and someone graps the cute vampire-Edwards sma.. err ball ('cos they were playing, remember?! Not nice at all! Bad vampire-gang is like the bullies from your school. There's also trouble 'cos they sniff that there is a real human girl amongst them! Kinda like if you drink with bad people and they rape you when you're intoxicated. 

In a vampire world this girl is the special one (edible), even if she doesn't have any powers. At this point everyone with half a brain know that the bad vampires will kidnap her and girly-vampire boy is going for rescue and almost perish, BUT she will save him by love. Mmm. She will also almost turn to a vampire, but since Eddie here wants to be the one with superspeed and strength in the family he sucks the bad vampire viruses from her bloodstream.

Now they get to go to the Prom, and every girls dream come true happens, Edward is claimed as promking and the girl the promqueen, who would've thought?! It's sooo cute! Then... they kiss outside.
