I'm not their biggest fan but I sort've been following their career since their started 6years back.

The song "plug in baby" from their second album, "the origin of symmetry" has the one of the best guitar riffs I've heard this century.

Been thinking about getting into them for a while now. i finally decided to pick up Absolution and i am absolutely floored. I'm really pissed i didn't get into them sooner, just so i'd be listening to this awesome music longer, and also i would have tried to see them live. i heard they played Hammerstein Ballroom recently and it was amazing. damn.

Absolution

Not to take anything away from Origin of Symmetry and Showbiz, but they are a bit more rocky not so progressive.

I'd say Absolution.

Go with "Origin of Symmetry!"It's an absolut classic in my book!Contains alot of their most well known songs, pluss a few obscure things. If you like OK Computer, you'll love this album!
Absolution is also an awesome album!

Well, I'm not sure if any of you guys & gals have been listening to the new Muse album, 'Black Holes and Revelations'... but I've had the pleasure of spending the past few months with it.  I feel as though I can describe the album in one word... GLORIOUS!!

Yeah, I'd recommend that you break out the headphones for this one... it's (in my humble opinion) a sonic masterpiece.

Anyway, I just wanted to share and I would enjoy hearing your thoughts / opinions on Muse and their music.

Cheers,
W.R.

One thing about Muse that really bothers me is not the band itself, but the local media.  I live in the same county that Muse come from (Devon) and for a band like them to make it from Devon (although Devon probably didn't help them) is amazing.  I can't think of another band from here that's ever made it.  The local media made a big fuss when some talentless bitch from round here won a national tv pop singer contest but I've never heard even a mention for Muse, even though they've made an international impact.

Having said all that I only own one Muse album!  I might have to get the new one though, sounds good.

Fucking awesome!

one of the best guitarists going for me.

They provide great song after great song

Every gig i go to seems to have their music playing before the band come on.

One of the best live acts in the world

New album is their best i think.

They do have some really shit songs but the majority rock.

I think in 10 years time when people look back many people will realise how good they are. I mean if they were to release a greatest hits tomorrow it would be one of the best greatest hits out IMO

I love Muse, they're the best band going at the moment by miles.? That's not to say there's not a lot of good bands around these days - there are loads - but Muse are just fantastic!

The new album seemed a disapointment to me at first but the more I listen to it the better it gets.? It's hard to say which is their best album cause they're all really good - it honestly depends on my mood.

I like the idea of a greatest hits album.? You're right, they've easily done enough to fill one.? Here's my take:

1.? Sunburn
2.? Plug in Baby
3.? Muscle Museum
4.? Map of Your Head
5.? Citizen Erased
6.? The Gallery
7.? Dead Star
8.? In Your World
9.? Stockholm Syndrome
10.? Hyper Music
11.? Shine (acoustic)
12.? Map of the Problematique
13.? Cave
14.? Knights of Cydonia
15.? New Born

Proper rock-out at the end, like. smoking
