With being laid off of work so long I don't know how I am going too afford it, but if there is a Chicago show at Allstate I will be there. One way or another. Allstate is easy for anyone to travel too. It is right off the interstate and there are two hotels next door. Allstate crew is the greatest I have seen at a venue.

Is Allstate arena the same place as the Rosemont Horizon?

I hate how they change the name of these places every year.

I hate all the corporate names too, but yes Allstate is the same as Rosemont but the name changed happened well over 10-15 years ago. But if you aren't from Chicago, then it's understood.

But yes, I'll be attending since I haven't seen them since they played here in '06!

This will be my first GNR show in Chicago. I'm pretty pumped for it.

i flew to chicago with my wife for the show in 2002. it was right around the same time of year because it was very close to her b-day (as it is this year). very cool show for so many reasons....#1 the show kicked ass!!! great venue and great crowd. it was also cool because we found out a week later that my wife was pregnant with our first child. so while at the show, we didn't realize it but she was about 3 weeks pregnant. my daughter is 8 years old now. whenever i think about the start of my family, that show is part of the story. scary how time flies.

anyway, i love that U.S. dates are being announced. i hope this one is true. chicago is a great city!  beer

i'm hoping they don't hit the NE part of the country in early november, but head out this way at some point after the kansas city show. i will be working from home at that point and will have much more flexibility with my schedule, so i would have no problem hitting a bunch of shows. keeping my fingers crossed (and checking this page every couple hours every day!).  ok

Can't wait for an on sale date. I'm going to Orlando and Vegas next week but I'm taking money out of the trip funds for both of those to ensure I get floor tickets for Chicago!

Same here.  My guess is either Friday or Saturday, same as the MN show.  It's not up on the Allstate website yet, or Ticketmaster so we'll see...

I did GA for the last show in 2006.  Got to the allstate arena at 3 or 4 in the afternoon and was able to get front row center for the entire show.  It was an amazing experience, but as I'm a little older and now and might want to have a beer or six during the show, I think I'll secure seats for this one, as close to the stage as possible.

Glad to see it's starting at 9pm.  It always amused me to watch luke-warm GNR fans glaring at their watches around 10pm, but it doesn't look like that'll be an issue this time around.  hihi

Seems like the local rock radio stations often have pre-sales....

As well as venues.
