Oh, okay.

I thought it was for the rest of the tour or something like that.

I hope to see Brain in Sweden, if not, I'm looking forward to see him in Finland.

Cool, cool. Looks like Pittman is going to start getting some fan recognition, so good on him.

Pittman the fourth guitar player (of sorts)? Damn, so when Izzy is on stage (or Axl soloing in rir3 Madagascar) there are 5 guitar players (sort of)?

Not even Spinal Tap could believably parody that!  :rofl:

About There Was a Time, the song is, in everybody opinion, amazing, but the song might be too complex and long and might scare the audience who are not aware of the new songs, and of course, Axl does not want to ruin his songs before CD is out ...

maybe that will stop people requesting it for now

bit worried about the Brain situation i hope it was planned all along

this is a fuckin' joke, Brain comin' home and a new guy playin' drums for the rest of european dates.
I can't see another band doin' this kind of things. Sorry but i can't identify these guys with Guns n' roses band. Who will be the next, Robin get tired and goin' to the states for same rest and axl takin another guitarplayer for some dates.
Why does Brain go home? only because he's tired. They've played 20 concerts and that's all. This is a fuckin' joke
This kind of thing only happens on a tribute band or something like that

are you stupid? if a band member has personal problems, for Example his mom is really sick and he wants to be with her, he leaves the band.
that's very common, cuz musicians, are humans, and humans care for other people. therefor they may have strong obligations with the people they love.

didn't matt sorum leave VR cuz he injured his wrist? same thing.

You can pretty much hear Pittman's "4th guitar" on Rocket Queen @ RIR-Lisboa due to the fucked up sound mix. He does the main riff and it indeed sounds like a guitar.

And I guess I read somewhere that Pittman made some art piece on some gallery on Rio de Janeiro last year (or was it 2004?). Maybe his wife is brazilian?

BTW, pretty good stuff, dude. I translated to portuguese to post on my board, if you don't mind. :beer:

i know i can't believe how nice they were (especially richard, chris, brain and ron)
im not an autograph / photo type of guy, so i guess they were cool with that
and i dont know, it was just cool and relaxed.
while robin was being "interviewed" me and richard started throwing lots of rose petals (yeah the floor was full of it) at him
so it was funny

and then there is this story about that girl, cocaine and richard. but i'm not gonna go onto that ;)

why is brain goin' home? Does he have any personal problem or just tired? What i meant before is that they didn't explain whay brain leaves this end of european tour. If he has a personal problem it looks right to me. If the situation is that he's tired i can't understand it.
a relative question. Due to all the line-up changes that axl has had with his band in the past few years, do you think this band is gonna keep toguether for many years? who do you think will be the next change in this line-up?

i understood that it was just temporary so , obvisouly personal stuff or what not.
do not worry guys.
one thing i got out of all this

the band is having fun
really, they're laughing and all all the time, laid back
they get serious only when axl is around , Will can back me up on that, cause Chris told us that backstage

it's like the band would be laughing and playing, and axl enters the room and they get quite (well that my joke, but chris agreed ;) )

I think thats the right train of thought. Im guessing he has programmable keyboards (like a mellotron) and one of them is coded to sound guitar like.

Pittman wrote Maddy with Axl?  Thats interesting.

Check this out.  From www.wikipedia.org

Pitman was born in Independence, Missouri. He currently writes and records privately with Axl Rose, as they have collaborated on many songs for the upcoming Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy. He is a multi-instrumentalist on the album, contributing keyboards, guitar, bass, vocals, and programming. He has not been announced as an official band member, however, and mostly does orchestration, synthesizers, and sound effects when they play live. He compliments keyboardist Dizzy Reed on the more complex material that Guns N' Roses plays.

Writes and records privately with Axl.

Perhaps Chris is more important than many people on the boards thinks.

Wow awesome stuff! This band rules.

Kinda bugs me that it doesn't seem like Axl chills with them too much.. but thats ok hes a busy man!

I love hearing shit about the new songs.. everyonce ina while I start to wonder.. after hearing about 10 of the new ones (leaked or live) if C.D. will actually end up that great.. but it sounds like the band really believes in it.. so im looking forward to it.

All in all it seems like this band is ready.. just put out the album!

wow that must have been a great experience.? Although it doesnt seem like it at times, this band is very fan interactive. I love it...

I guess the only thing that worries me is the Brain thing. But it seems liek hes got something important to leave for so its cool. As long as he comes back and is still in the band its all gravy

Brain had a baby!...its all good!........Congrats to Brain and his wife...

rumor has it Bucket will be the godfather.....that would be a funny site

and about certain things...never say never....The fall is gonna be insane

Lots of cool information. Pittman helped write Madagasdar???? Amazing. Probably my favorite new GnR song. :)

Silkworms-> Dizzy and Pittman
Madagascar->Axl and Pittman
Better-> Axl and Robin
Blues->Axl and Dizzy?
Chinese Democracy->Axl & Finck?
TWAT->Axl, Wylde (Bucket)?
Catcher->Axl & May?
Rhiad & Bedouins->Axl & Bucket?

The collaborations probably run alot deeper than this.

Chinese Democracy's riff was written by Josh Freese.
Catcher only had May playing the solos, but I highly doubt he wrote the song with Axl.
Rhiad strongly feels like Robin's work too, but I'm not sure.

lol actually I don?t care about the brain subject... from all the new band member, lol including pittman, brain is the one I care less... Let me explain why before you all get furious or something :hihi:... Well, for me, Brain is the type of guy that just doesn?t seem to be feeling the gig u kno... he goes there, he starts playing but he?s so... I mean we look at him and it looks as he is just playing drums, like he was rehearsing at his house or something... I don?t want get into comparing, na but c?mon... Matt had so much more energy when in a gig, well he still does but... I?ll shut up about Matt sorry. What I mean is like... I went to RiR and during the gig I completely forgot about Brains lol... as if he wasn?t even there...

About him going to the States- I believe he was there cos of his wife... lol let?s believe there?s no problems... it?s better! We have had many before. :rofl:

I got to meet Del James who was very cool, he was so exited about the new songs, and agreed that Chinese Democracy will "hopefully" replace Welcome to the Jungle soon ...

this will never happen, Chinese Democracy is a great song but is far away from Welcome To The Jungle. No song can show the power, the fury, the reality that WTTJ does.
Maybe if Axl become poor again and get back to the drugs he could do something close to WTTJ ?:hihi:

And also TWAT is older than 2000, which is when Buckethead joined the band. He's done a good contribution to the song but I don't think he gets writing credits for playing an extended solo.
