did they actually do a real love song ? not a "broken-love "or "lost-love" song a real one about a love that is working and all. looks like all their famous love songs ( sweetchild, nov rain, dont cry ...) are not really love songs ....

I ve always thought SCOM as a love song but after reading the post and on reflection may be it is not...
It seems more like an obsession or being star struck by a gal...not necessarily a "Working Relationship". It s like one of thoses things....when a gal who hav fallen for is in the same room...u just cant help but look at her... the lyrics seem to suggest that sort of feeling... may be the intros that Axl does also suggest this sort of idea.
She s got a smile that is seems to me reminds me of childhood memories... She got eyes of the bluest skies.... Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place....
Hence the song ends with "where do we go now" Where will my love go now....
Also think about the Sail away sweet sister/ bad time intro to SCOM "i m in love with a gal i ve been talking about, i m in love with a gal i cant live without.......i ' m in love but i must have picked a bad time to be in love
Thimk about you...again is not about a working relationship...it more post...reflection....
Ooh it was the best time I can remember Ooh and the love we shared - is lovin' that'll last forever
the use of word WAS...suggest past.
Rocket Queen more like letting someone know how much you care especially the ending bit....
What about "so fine" ?

Actually when I first heard this song I thought it was a love song (and lirically it is so). But I still can understand what it has to Johnny Thunders?

Yeah but when he wrote the song and clip was shot they still were together. And that "Where do we go..." sounds like had some doubts about their common future. Same like "Think about you" where he really uses "was"

"Used to Love Her" is without a doubt GNR's greatest love song. "think about u" is bout Mr.Brownstone...
Umm, where the hell are you getting your information on this? The song lyrics suggest nothing of the kind.

I read that Izzy ( who wrote Think about you) said it was a classic love song about a man and his drugs. Very L.A. and very heroin.
Doesn't anyone think Patience is a love song?? I know when I heard it I cried. I would have done anything to have someone feel that way about me. I think it's about someone falling in love with someone who's been badly burned in the heart and needs to take it slow before giving it up again. I know if God decides to send someone to me he would have to be very Patient because I don't believe in love anymore.
Sweet Child is great whichever way you think of it. Hell all of them are better than "I used to love her" I thought that was funny until the ex dedicated it to me regularly. I think I'm right cause Axl just came on the radio for me.
Rock on

I doubt that since Axl didn't go to school in L.A. /jarmo sorta this.. but they've known each other for a long time and he even threatened to kill himself if she wouldn't agree to be his wife. Such a romantic story has such an ugly end.

To end this discussion.
Sweet Child O' Mine is a love song.
Axl: It's the first positive love song I've ever written, but I never had anyone to write anything about before, I guess.
Izzy: That's a real love song.
Is there something more you need to be convinced?

Thanks for the infro about I think About You. I also never knew that.
I would have to go with theses songs for a love song,
It's So Easy Anything Goes Used To Love Her You Aint The First Back Off Bith You Could Be Mine and I Don't Care About You
Jk
I would go with Sweet Child O' Mine Novmber Rain, So Fine and Since I Don't Have You.
