Of all the new songs we?ve heard (leaks and the ones played live), they would all stay but Silkworms and Rhiad and the bedouins IMO.

Here's a question. When's the last time anyone mentioned The Blues? Maybe that one could be sacrificed.

AAAAAHH the Blues is the best one. No Way!!!! If I had to trade two of the better leaks in Id trade in TWAT and Catcher even though I love both of these songs. But Better and IRS are just really good. But seeing The Blues live trumps anything ever. Those screams at the end.

All I know is if Better, The Blues and There Was A Time are three best tunes I've heard so far. I couldn't trade them for anything. smoking

for me it's a) irs and b) chinese democracy (that was never leaked, so i cheated a bit)

Assuming that silk worms and rhiad are already gone, I second this.

Just the leaked songs?  Or is it out of all the songs we have heard?

T.W.A.T. definitely.

I think the studio version WILL BE one of the "big guns" !

I would THINK that the newer songs that they've played semi-regularly would be on CD (CD, Maddy, The Blues, IRS, Better).  Then again, the old band was playing KOHD and Don't Cry (among others) LONG before UYI's were released.

I'd kick off IRS, for sure.

Weak lyrics, repetitive progression... it's really not too special. I do love the intro and outro, and Axl's intense scream toward the end - But other than that, it's pretty bland.

the repetitive progression is somewhat of a problem (on the leak); live, there's more excitement and suspense to the song; still, i'd drop it; also merck said that irs is one of the "weaker" songs...

you can add tons of pitman effects and bucket/bumble solos....it doesnt turn "better" into a good or better song.

better go, go!

I find it very unlikely that CD, or part 1 of CD, will contain like 5 or 6 of these leaked songs... cos then we've waited 10 years on a record to be released, half of which we'v been listening to for years anyway.

an article on the official gnr site once said, that during the last tour almost half of the cd album had been played... so if you add "catcher" you already know more than half of the album (7 out of 13)... this is some reason, why i said "2 leaked songs / songs we already know have to make space".

I wouldnt be surprised if Oh My God made it on the album.  I know theres all this stuff out there about Axl having 37 songs done etc... My guess is this album will have a lot of songs on it that we have heard, I highly doubt he would kick out IRS, The Blues, Better, TWAT, CD, Rhiads...It sucks, but all of the songs Axl called "Big Guns" we have heard so I bet by the time the album comes out we will have heard in some form 80% of the tracks.

i don't understand your logic; why have we already heard all of the big guns? how do you come to this conclusion? if omg and rhiad are on cd, i'm thinkin' about quitting being a gnr supporter... this would be a true letdown and a sign, that axl and the new guns don't have much to offer. but it won't be the case.
