So, even though we have no album, there were definitely some good things that happened this year on the GNR front.. what were some of yours?

Like many people, i was really shocked and surprised to hear Axl guesting on Bach's album and also seeing Reckless Road, that was pretty amazing!

Baz's album. And the tour of course. It's always nice to know that they're out there playing somewhere even if I can't go see them myself.   Cool yes Smiley

Nice updates the first half of 2007, awesome shows in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan (didn't care for the Mexico ones), and of course Axl guesting on Bach's record.

My GNR 2007 Highlight is when I heard Finck and Fortus playing Endless Rain from X-Japan. They made me discover a great band. Thanks to them.

my highlight was in the sydney concert on the 23rd,

during the songs, I was dying  of thirst, I was 3 rows from the front,
and the security through about 6 bottles of water out into the crowd,
(of a few thousand people)
One was going over my head,
I put my hand up caught it and drank it in about 10 seconds,

thats ROCK! Cool

Those Australia/New Zealand shows were really killer, it was great to hear all the stories about the band having a good time.

All things considered 2007 was a pretty good year for Guns, and I forgot to even mention the awesome set at the Versace show. Very rare, unique, cool stuff.

Oh 2008 how you excite me.

My highlights would be knowing that GnR had a solid year of well-received touring, that everyone is healthy, that progress has been made in terms of completing Chinese Democracy and creating & performing music together as a functional, cohesive, and thriving band.

Its true and I was very blessed to be there. I got to go to a private party at Axl's hotel room after the Adelaide show totally by chance but I had a bit of help from Robin. He didn't come to the party tho. He went strait to his room but me and some girl went up and followed Dizzy and Tommy into the party.

I had a huge chat to Del, got tackled by Chris, saw Bumble and Baz have a Piano vocal jam, Drank all the corona's outta Axl's esky (I didn't realise it was his esky untill the corona's were gone), done HUGE shots of Jager with Dizzy, talked to Richard about his family and his old bands, spoke to Frank about drums for ages, bummed a smoke off Venessa, I was a little nervous but when me N' Dizzy were drinking in the kitchen Axl walked in and I wasn't to sure what to say to him so I asked if he wanted a shot but he wanted to stick to his beer and wine.

The whole thing is in the Australian tour thread i think. If you want to know more. But all that shit I just said was just from Adelaide.

I don't blame you for not believing me, no one ever does. I sometimes have to think if it really happened.

Something happened in the middle of February that was my highlight, much the same as what happened in the middle of February 06.  Will it happen again for the third year in a row during the exact same time frame???  Being on Baz's record was pretty cool too.
