I didn't purchase many albums this year, but of the ones I did purchase, I would have to say The Chili Pepper's Stadium Arcadium is probably my favorite album of 2006. There is some truly amazing tracks on this double-disc package that I listen to still, almost daily.

Oh yeah, and the brand new Guns N' Roses leaks are easily my other favorite release of this year, eventhough they came free of charge Grin

Most of the stuff I bought this year was  older stuff, but I really liked the Who album  and of course Neil Young  Living with War. It was real and  very rough--real Neil, like grunge. A lot of people mentioned Dylan's Modern Times so I will have to check it out.

Deadsy - Phantasmagore
Tool - 10,000 Days

Can't think of any others. I was disappointed in Prince's 3121. I enjoyed 15, but it does get tired and it's not Buckcherry's best.
