Yet at the same time, Londonistan is full of Christ-haters who burn effigies of the pope. The UK is a police state compared to the US, and that is really saying something. The British need to take their Britian back. Free speech sure is great here; you guys really ought to consider an amendment for it.  Wink

When he was arrested in September, officers also found 33 images of child pornography on his computer.

Well, that does merit jail time, but as for getting two years and eight months over posts on a message board... Couldn't they just give him some negative karma points? hihi

Well, ironically, the kiddy porn should have sent him to a labor camp for life (or ol' sparky, perhaps Wink), but it isn't fair that they searched his computer over his comments.

Wait so.. burning an effigy of the pope.. and being horribly racist to someone that just died?

I think there's a slight difference.

And I live in London, and pretty much say what I want.

Free speech is free speech.  Someone burning an effigy of the pope is far more offensive to more people than racist comments.  Not condoning either act, but there's no accounting for taste.

Same old Americans spreading unwanted Democracy across foreign countries, we may live in a subliminal police state, but you people live in a jail state, with your media coverage.

As much shit as ive bitched about in Europe (where I love to visit dearly) and there insane ane enlightened politics Ive always admired the british for maintaining a decent stand  and being a place of justice.

Being jailed by the "love all rainbow police" for saying something crude (and this was a disgusting ranting) however seems like something stright out of the Castro "you will embrace liberalism or die" playbook

People don't get it there a major difference between Britain, and the rest of mainland Europe.
