The garage got the price down to $400 from $1000.  But now one of the tires flashed low.  With all the roofing going on there will be nails all over the place, probably picked up one.  Quit fucking with my car!  Anyway, got the coolant repair scheduled.  The oil leak I'll live with and I'll take care of the motor mounts in a few months.

Mom's better.  She doesn't blame me either and nobody else at the party got the flu so maybe my sister did pick it up somewhere else.

I did get two doctor letters saying I passed my lung cancer screening.  The second one was kind of a weird letter.  It said I had a small nodule but that was VERY NORMAL, yes in caps.  Okay then why mention what's normal?  And why is a second doctor sending me a letter saying normal?  Glad you guys agree but was there some reason two doctors got called in on it?  Is it capitalized because doctor number two is yelling at doctor number one that he's an idiot for not knowing that?  hihi  Anyway, passed all my annual exams and I'm fine.  U'll probably drop dead tomorrow.   hihi

Love the video.  The music is phenomenal.  Almost want to say Slash is god.  hihi  Could have jammed out a lot longer with that song and I would have hung with it.

Finished mulching the 3 renovated beds today.  They really pop now.  They are on display Saturday.  Few plants left to find and I may want to add some edging but they are basically done.  I need the maintenance books for each bed and the educational signage to go up and the project is finished.

The deans from the university are coming Monday and will tour our food production gardens.  They get a half hour to see the gardens so were focusing in on their theme for the year.

Marsha has been missing more things saying she doesn't feel well.  She sounds good on the phone though.

On top of the $2,000 to fix the car, the dealer has discovered a coolant leak for another $1000 and an oil leak for $2000.   Shocked  Stopped by the garage I to get their estimate.  He agrees the coolant leak has to get fixed but I can live with a car that leaks oil.  He'll let me know tomorrow what they will charge.  When did car repairs get so expensive?  I'm good at identifying the issue and pretty sure I could have replaced some of these parts back in the day when they gave you room to work on an engine.  You practically have to take the engine apart to get at things these days.

Damn it, mom got the stomach flu.

In the past 30 years of this band, roster has undergone some serious changes.  There is one common denominator.  And he calls the shots.

Amongst all those folks that have been in this band in some capacity over those 30 years...they all seem to be able to release things once they get away from his control.  That can't be an accident.

I don't claim to know what goes through the man's head.  I know I would not want to get into a discussion armed with the last 3 decades of his career and argue with a straight face the man is a creative workaholic.

But you can't compare them.

For example, no one expects a Keith Richards solo project to be like the Stones. And that's ok. He probably has certain freedoms because he doesn't have to take into account that it's for the Rolling Stones audience etc. Same goes for any solo or side project.

Did you listen to Max Creeps? Duff didn't use his own name to put that out. Because it doesn't necessarily fit with what he does as a solo artist. He does his solo records and doesn't have to think about whether or not all GN'R fans will like it.

A GN'R song/album will have certain expectations tied to it. That's just how it is. Does this mean it's a reason why they can't release new music? No. But it means comparing a GN'R release to solo projects isn't exactly a fair comparison.

Maybe some are just now discovering the song...

You guys ever see those "reaction" videos on YouTube of people hearing songs or bands for the first time?  Do you ever believe them?

Am I truly supposed to believe you have NEVER heard 'Welcome To The Jungle'?  Have you never been to a sporting event?

They were fun the first few times. Now it just seems kinda fake as you pointed out.

Unless it's kids who probably don't listen to a certain genre...

Maybe you didn't hear about it before since it's an unofficial release.

These kinds of compilations used to be around in the days of bootlegs....
