Beautiful Creatures.  Their sophomore album Deuce is due out this year.

I'll add Tesla to that list.........I just got their latest Into The Now, which was released earlier this year.  It's incredibly ROCKIN'!!!!

i got the BC c. they rock. thanks for the heads up.

i heard the new silvertide cd. it sounds real good. it has such a fresh sound to it. some of the songs they've released in the past are on there, but they've been changed up a bit. they sound fuller and more professional, but not overproduced in any way.

they're opening for van halen on the first leg of their tour. that's gonna give them alot of exposure.

When I saw Slivertide in concert, opening for Velvet Revolver, I thought the band was awesome!!  Looking forward to buying a few CDs on June 8th Smiley

The release of Show & Tell was pushed back from 6-08-04 to 9-28-04.

That sucks!

I saw them at the Minneapolis show.  Having never heard their songs before, it was a little hard to get a real opinion on them, but they seemed pretty rocking.  The lead guitar player annoyed the hell out of me with his antics, but ah well, his guitar playing was good!  ok

Silvertide's website is silvertidemusic.com.

like k-rock mentioned, J Records pushed Show & Tell's release date to September 28th, 2004.  The first single will be released to radio August 19th.

here's a small review which appeared in a local philly paper.....

Wed., June 16, 7:30pm. $35-$97. With Van Halen. Wachovia Center, 3601 Broad St. 215.336.2000. www.electricfactory.com

Whether or not the kids in Silvertide are doomed to repeat history remains to be seen. But with more buzz than a two-liter Jolt and a new album, Show & Tell, that plays like a Reader's Digest condensed version of late-century rock--encapsulating everything from the Stones and Zeppelin to Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses--it sounds like these barely legal Philly-grown rockers have already copped to it. Early reports from their recent outings with Velvet Revolver and Shinedown suggest that onstage the band comes off as either an out-and-out second coming or simply a bunch of high-schoolers sparking up the remains of the Black Crowes after detention. No matter how you slice it, though, whatever Silvertide's capable of live will surely deliver more than Van Halen warmed over for the umpteenth time. (Collin Keefe)

my cousin writes for Philadelphia Magazine, and he wrote this review of the new Silvertide cd (which comes out in September). supposedly a single will be released to radio in August.

(btw, in the same issue my cousin does an awesome interview with brett michaels.)

"Barely out of high school,Silvertide pulls off a feat on its major-label debut that most veteran bands would be jealous of- channeling the energy of a live set into an album. These sons of the Great Northeast (in Phila.) set the pace with "Ain't Coming Home",and the ten tracks that follow stomp like a boot to the ribcage. Frenetic singer Walt Lafty evokes the Black Crowes with both his vocals and his 'tude, while guitarist Nick Perri's riffs reek of Angus Young and Slash. Highlights include the snarling ode to herbal relief "Mary Jane" and "Devil's Daughter", an orgy of cowbells and squealing solos. If Steven Tyler and Aerosmith sipped from the fountain of youth, this is what they'd sound like as 20-year-olds in 2004.- R.R."

I'm yet to hear anything by then....just endless hype...and STILL no album.

Talk about how NOT to release an album, by the time it arrived no one will care - its taken too fuckin' long. Why they have waited so long is bizarre....they ain't GNR in disguise? hihi

I read somewhere that their album will be finally released on September 28th.  So, just two more weeks to go.  I also have found a few albums / eps by them on eBay from time to time.  So if you can't wait until September 28th... you always got that option.

Their first single off of Show & Tell, Aint Coming Home, has been getting serious airplay here in Philly.? They sound alot like Hurricane Party to me.

Can't wait to get this album on the 28th.? It was released in Japan last month.

I found Silvertide a couple of months ago buy listening to the tracks on one of those usually crap cd's that you get free with magazines. The track Foxhole Jesus Christ absolutely blew my mind and now i am hooked.

They recently put out a 4 track limited edition EP in Britain which was brilliant containing the tracks Mary-Jane, Foxhole JC, Devil's Daughter and California Rain, all of which appear on the album.

They are currently supporting Van Halen on their reunion tour.

glad to see the buzz is really going now. these guys are 5 cool mofo's from philly. and they play old school classic rock. i think "ain't comin home" is the best song on the radio right now.

the album comes out in two weeks (sept. 28). i can't wait. and they're doing a show at the trocadero that night as an album release party. i'll definitely be there.

i heard the whole album (my cousin reviews music for a major magazine), and it rocks. just a great rock album. it's a mix of zeppelin, aerosmith, and the black crowes, with definitely some gnr influence as well.
