Neemo, If you gonna do this, I suggest you start another thread in a few days. Post the rules and let it go.

Yeah you are prolly right Ignatus. Since Genisis agreeed I am outnumbered so I will go with the genereal consensus. so any more ideas for this badboy?

So far it looks like I'll start round 1 on Monday or tuesday. Wee will pick songs over 10 weeks in the following format:

Week 1 - Nominations for the 00's
Week 2 - top song from 2000-present
Week 3 - Nominations for the 90's
Week 4 - top song from 1990's
Week 5 - Nominations for the 80's
Week 6 - top song from 1980's
Week 7 - Nominations for the 70's
Week 8 - top song from 1970's
Week 9 - Nominations for the 60's
Week 10 - top song from 1960's

***Idea for consideration***
let me know what you think of this (Ignatus, Genisis anyone else)
round 11 - where we can nominate songs that didn't make it or something?
round 12 - where we can pick 1 or 2 to be added to the top 5.

Rounds 13 - Huh - vote off one at a time till we get........

THE HTGTH - GREATEST SONG OF ALL TIME hihi

Bear in mind that you have to do the nominations; this is where people nomintate their favorite songs and then, you have to make a list of, let's say, 7 songs? (the ones that received the most nominations) that will make the cut and enter the survivor for that decade. People will then vote 1 song off at the time.

Maybe, the song survivor is harder to do at first...what about if you do an album survivor like *Izzy* suggested? I think it could probably be easier to do.

This is what I recommend.

Start a thread saying...Nominations for best album of the 21st century.

-Post the Rules. You know, just one album per band, post up to 5 albums blah, blah...

- Let it run for 5-6 days and then count the nominated albums: For expample, American idiot? 3 nominations, By the way 2 nominations...and the top 7 albums (the ones who received the more nomiantions) will enter the survivor.

-Round 1: Nominations...(whatever) and the survivor kicks off.

You should aslo add a list of possible albums people may consider. Sometimes this helps. People are way too lazy to even think about two or three albums, so the easier it seems, the more replies you get.

For example:

Nominations for the best album of the 21st century

American Idiot - Green Day
Tool - Lateralus
Death Cab for Cutie - Plans
RHCP - By the Way
Strokes - Is this is?
Audioslave - Out of Exile
Foo Fighters - in your Honor
Bon Jovi - Crush
Weezer - Green Album
Velvet Revolver - Contraband...

Please nominate your top 5 albums of the century (the above list is simply for reference, albums that are not on such list, are obviously welcome)

You get the idea, you simply make a list of 20 albums people may consider. You don't have to like them, but it'll probably make things easier for the lazier members.

I say Iggy is on the ball as usual, thanks for the Frank Black btw, i'll get back to you soon with feedback i've been real busy......

....I think you should go with the album idea and by the decades to, everyone giving like 5 nominations, yep that's all good, people are lazy remember they don't want to have to think to much or type to much smoking
