Torres is not injured but he was injured some months ago and he didnt play that much before the world cup, thats why he looks out of touch in some games. but i hope he plays in the final.

i think Holland have two strong points, Snider and Roben. if Spain is able to nulify those two then Holland wont have a good game. i think Spain is going to win

I too tip Spain for the win. They are  the dark horses in this tournament, progressing steadily since their first game loss, while everybody was focused on Brazil, Argentina, Holland and Germany. The Dutch do deserve to get it though coming up in second place twice.

It's interesting to note that European football is stronger than ever. Since 1994, barring Brazil, no other South American team has won, finished second, third or fourth in the World Cup, while France have won it once, Italy are the defending champions and this year too, it'll be either Spain or Holland winning their maiden World Cup. Of course, Uruguay will get third or fourth this year, but not in the most convincing fashion.

Looking at the FIFA website rankings, there are no surprises. Spain are the No.2 team in the world, Netherlands are at 4. Germany are 6; higher than England and Argenitina. Brazil are No.1 but were unlucky to be beaten by Netherlands. It is all actually quite predictable.

The only team to have outplayed themselves are Ghana who are 32nd in the rankings.

If there was one team from Europe who people believed to do well, it was Spain. So I don't know about the dark horse stuff. But they didn't start the tournament so well and were maybe shadowed by Germany. But it's no surprise to me that they're in the final..

Didn't have that much to do with luck. Yeah the first goal was a bit lucky. But they were the better team. So they deserved to win.

Well done Germany, and in my view they deserved 3rd place more than Uraguay.

Uraguay played well though, but Germany are strong and fierce. They are a joy to watch as well, the way they counter attack.  Smiley

Congratulations to Spain. If there was one team i didnt want as champion that was Spain. BUT they deserve it: they were the best with any kind of doubts. Good football payed dividends this time.

I feel really sorry for the dutch (and for the non-dutch cheering for Holland too)
