Title: FLACs on Winamp - What equaliser setting do you use?
Post by: Tomorrows on August 15, 2006, 11:04:34 AM
Hey guys, Ive noticed lately that FLACs are way more sensitive to equaliser settings than your run of the mill mp3. Ive been having trouble finding an equaliser setting for every type of music - its annoying having to change settings with every song when I have things on repeat. My big problem is that for rock music the bass and vocals tend to get drowned out.

Yeah, Ive found that best. Actually, after posting this I realised my headphone sound sucked because of a driver setting  :-[

Try foobar2000, it has better equaliser than Winamp (also is better in almost every aspect imo). when you use it with ASIO plugin, it bypasses windows own mixer, so it doesn't alter the stream in any way.
