I like Slash, then Page, followed by Gilby .

But if you've ever heard of Donald Duck's nephew's, Huey, Dewey and Louie, they tear up the above combined!

Hands down, Jimmy Page. Slash was greatly influenced by Page. Gilby a distant third.  Gilby never stood out for me.

Slash, he is the greatest guitarist of all time. His playin' is as emotional as nobody else's. Although Jimmy had a great influence on him, slash is much better even in technics, creativity and soulful playing. But Jimmy is also in the guitarist Pantheon  yes

Gilby...Well, as it was said before he's just a mortal. I like the guy, but he cannot be compared to the two.

Slash more creative?  Not by a long shot.  Better in technics?  Possibly, at least he can shred a bit, but then shred was't really done in Jimmy's day.  Slash is probably better when it comes to soulful playing, if I wrote a ballad I'd call in Slash for some nice solo work!

As for Gilby, not bad but not in the same league as the above mentioned.

Gilby?  Huh?

Comparing the likes of Page, Slash, and Joe Perry would be better I think.

Page played bass in the Yardbirds before he probably even picked up a guitar - Slash by a landslide!  Great guitarist, but c'mon guys, we all know bass players don't get any respect. rofl
