I'm looking forward to it.  Not following all the speculation or what people are saying.  It's nice he gave a heads up and you don't have to wait long to find out what's going on.

Papa Was A Rolling Stone, is that right?  Wow.

Got a track list off of Reddit.  I recognize some of those be title, will probably recognize a few more when I hear them.  The singer from AC/DC?  Some other artist I like.  All true?  If so, I'm buying.

That photo of Axl and Slash in the studio from last summer was probably just Axl going along to listen to Slash's new tunes

Saw Mike Clink in the video, I assume he is producing. Has Slash worked with him since the 90s?

Loved it, well done.  Bet they had fun hanging out in the studio together.  So when can we buy this?

This is great, bluesy stuff.  Just an overall fun song and Brian Johnson sounds fantastic.

Love the single, video, very cool track list with awesome guests.  But man, it would have been cool if Axl sang one, but I guess that would be for GN'R.

even Steven Tyler wasn’t quoted, maybe he did so me background vocals somewhere, who knows. I don’t think it’s important either tbh. If all the the songs have this quality who ever is there it’s ok. :peace: personally I would have loved to listen to rod jackson somewhere

Because he has (or had - it's been a while since i have heard something from him) a great blues voice (more than demi lovato for sure  :hihi: ) and i loved him on the snakepit album ain't life grand (the best album made by slash imho). Nvm. Can't wait to listen to the song with beth hart :peace:

I'm sure there are plenty of unknown singers with great blues voices out there. And yet none of them sing on this album, or Slash's first solo album.

In other words, makes little sense to have him sing on this...

I could have said Van Morrison or Mick Hucknall, for that matter. It's just a preference of mine based on (great) works from the past. Nowadays he's probably close to a nobody (maybe he's not even in good terms with the top hat who knows and who cares), but i don't see teddy zig zag as a superstar either (ok, he's not singin, but it's the same approach) and still love to see him there because he's great when it comes to blues, but yes i give u that, probably you're right, it wouldn't have made sense.

But those two names are recognized by many music fans. Rod Jackson isn't. Sorry.

Ted isn't used to promote the album, unlike Brian Johnson and Steven Tyler for example.

If I remember correctly, Slash wasn't too kind towards Rod Jackson in his book, calling him "the junkie singer". So they might not be on good terms.

I believe he made comments to the effect that Jackson liked the idea of being a frontman but didn't put in the work.

Slash will support his new blues covers album Orgy of the Damned with this summer's inaugural S.E.R.P.E.N.T. festival, bringing a slew of rock and blues artists along for the ride.

The traveling roadshow's name is an acronym that stands for "Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Equality N' Tolerance." The trek begins on July 5 in Bonner, Montana, and concludes on Aug. 17 in Grand Prairie, Texas. There will be several different lineups throughout the six-week run, with support from Warren Haynes, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Larkin Poe, Jackie Venson and more.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday. You can see the full itinerary below.

Speaking to UCR about the inspiration behind the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. festival, Slash said: "I thought it would be a great time, because of all of the divisions and whatnot [that are] happening in this country on a social level, to try and bring some solidarity and acceptance and support different groups. I want to really sort of bring people together and make this a celebration of all different kinds of people and all kinds of different ways of thinking. I just thought that would be a good vehicle for that."

The guitarist will release Orgy of the Damned on May 17. The first single, a cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor" featuring Brian Johnson on vocals and Steven Tyler on harmonica, is out now.

So what does the P in SERPENT stand for?

It's missing in the article above, but it stands for "Peace". Or Pitman.

He didn't exactly take back anything he said in his book.

But maybe there's hope for your dream Snakepit 2.0 reunion?  ;)
