Ive listen to november rain, dont cry and madagascar so far and i love them.  I cant say iam a huge fan of his singing so far but i guess thats an acquired taste much like Axl's voice.

Give the instrumentals a shot. The singing is replaced with the vocal melodys being played on another guitar. Sounds great.
