He was solid.  BH is talented but a total bore to watch live.  IF he has any emotion, you can't see it..HE HAS A HOCKEY MASK AND A BUCKET ON HIS HEAD! hehe  hihi

Finck's solos weren't that good...Ron's solo was just a bunch of wankery until the Don't Cry part which was cool...Fortus fucking owned ass.  Everyone on MyGnr mocked me when I said he's the best one, i guess they were so wrong.

I like Ron -- but Buckethead is just a much, much better (and more inventive) guitarist.   A real shame to have lost him -- I really hope his playing stays on CD.

So you think he is a more talented guitarist than Bumble and Fortus? Because anyone who watches and listens to the live shows can see and hear that Finck has by far the sloppiest sound on his solos. Bumble and Fortus's solo sounded clear and crisp tonight, where Robin is sloppy with his notes.

I am in favor of awarding solos based on talent, and not tenure in the band. Based on that criteria there is no way the guy should be playing any solos. He has improved since 02, but is still only the 3rd best guitarist in his own band. That is not saying alot.

I enjoyed Bucket's Nightrain outro far more than Ron's. I just cannot get into the guy; maybe it is the lack of mystery around him. He looks like a workman guitar player, not someone with a cool back story like Richard, robin, and the Bucket. I am not certain I will ever warm up to him.

Bumblefoot absolutly owned yesterday's concert, he's a beast, his job in November Rain, You Could Be Mine, Paradise City and SPECIALLY in Nightrain was simply outstanding.

GNR will be the best band in the world the same day they quit ''Patience'' from the setlist. Damn, that song SUCKS! Clearly Axl doesnt like to perform that, and Robin's solo was awful (the only ''bad thing'' about ''Finck The Great'' from yesterday)

I'm really happy that I will not listen again Buckethead's November Rain solo (even when I love Buckethead). Thank God Bumblefoot is with us.

Not in a long shot. Ron owned everybody on that stage. Not saying the others sucked, but is very clear who's the best guitar player in GNR. It's the new guy...
