I satart school tomorrow. I'm going into tenth grade and starting in a new school
im pretty nervous and still in shock that it's going to be tomorrow

Just be laid back and act like it's no big deal. Take in the whole new scene and you'll be able to get a better idea of what is going on. You'll start making some friends in a couple of days. It's all good man and we've all been there before.

oh and by the way, im a girl but w/e
my friends from middle school are going to the same school, including my best freind and my friend who left in 8th grade but apparently moved back to the area
i was suprised to see him last week at orientation. but anyway i feel comfortable that my close friends are gonna be there tomorrow. I'm just nervous about being in a new building, finding my way around and stuff. I don't even know where my bus stop is gonna be and i'll probly get lost looking for my classes.

starting anything new for the first time can always be a little intimidating. After two weeks, you'll wonder what you were so worried about. You'll be fine  Great that you'll have some friends who are probably in the same boat as you are. Always helps. |

You lucky bastard i only got 3 anyway i know where you stand STR, i was in your shoes about three years ago when i started 9th grade at a new school, the first 4 - 5 weeks kinda sucked but then they started seeing me as a cool person i guess and its all because i knew the words to every song that played in gym class (AC/DC G'n'R Motley Crue ect) and to every song in the South park movie. I know its wierd but thats how i first got "in" if you wanna call it that. And if your going to a new school with your friends that kinda helps but then you gotta worry if you have the same classes and everything else like that. Just don't conform or try to fit in. Cause that will make you a poser, so my best advise is to tell you to just let it the day happen and maybe you'll come out ahead. You can only try. And its ok to be the quiet one in class. I'm like that to until i get into a class where all my friends are. Then i'm like a new person. fill us in on everything good that happened and good luck  |

thanks everyone for your supportive posts. I just got home from my first day and it went pretty good. my best friend and i get to eat lunch together and we're also in a few of the same classes, so i'm happy about that. another friend of mine is in my homeroom, which I'm also happy about. so thanks again for the support and I was suprised to read that some of you are kind of in the same grade as I am  ~STR |

We never got music in gym. We don't even call it 'gym'.  The schools are a lot different in the States. We start high school at age 11. Anyway, starting a new school isn't as scary as it may seem. You'll be fine. |
