Coldplay - X&Y

The new Coldplay album is coming out the first week of June.  Is anyone here planning on picking it up?

I have the new single "Speed of Sound" and the leaked track "Talk".  I like "Talk" better, but both are really good songs... They sound very.... Coldplay.

I seen them august of 2002 in a small Philly club.  they back up there stuff live... sound good.  not really groundbreaking though but a little interesting live. not a bad night for a cheap ticket.

I am no Coldplay fan whatsoever. I find them overrated so damn much it pisses me off. WHen they wan best album of all time in a VH1 poll i shouted.



But "Talk", is fucking immensely good

Didn't like the other two tedious offerings, but, impressed by the singles from the new album i have picked up the new album - haven't listened to it yet


...judging from the few posts in this thread doesn't look like Coldplay have many fans here

The foo fighters are just crap - so boring, the most basic guitar work u can get and still be considered 'rock'

I like Coldplay. Not a huge fan, but I think they are one of the brst rock bands around today.

The Grammy nominations agree with you, but I don't.

Talk is the best song they've recorded, when I mentioned it in this thread I was referring to a version of it that leaked before the album.  The lyrics are completely different and it sounds "simpler".  Anyways, I don't have a preference between the two, but it's interesting to have both versions of such a good song.

I've listened to this album a lot and I think it's great.  There's only one or two songs I hardly listen to... Talk, White Shadows and the bonus track 'Til Kingdom Come are the best.
