Will this pave the way for a reunion?  Death has a way of putting the trivial in perspective.

Roger Waters is stubborn as a bull, so I unfortunately can't see Syd's passing leading any more weight to the possibility of a reunion.. Undecided

I'm pretty sure it's been Gilmour, not Waters, who's putting off the reunion.  I don't see why Syd's death would change anything though.

Im not a Pink Floyd fanatic, so you could be right, although it was Roger Waters who sued Gilmour years and years ago in contest of Gilmour and Company using the Pink Floyd name.

The buck stops here!

The band itself said that all members would reunite for certain causes, they wouldn't do a full out tour or anything, but if a situation like Live 8 came around again they said they'd be up for it.  Waters himself said they'd love to play a concert for peace between Israel and Palestine (better speed it up).  But Gilmour is mainly working on his solo projects now and said he no longer wishes to work full time with Floyd.....so only if Bob Geldof works something out again will they reunite for a show.  Gilmour and Waters aren't pissed at each other anymore and Waters said they email each other and keep in touch now.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
