Title: VMA article moved to Dead Horse... why?
Post by: WAR41 on August 31, 2012, 02:03:35 PM
LOL so the EW article was a NEW story regarding an older event that I am pretty sure no one knew.  Why was it moved to Dead Horse and the Axl, Baz, and Bon Jovi story not moved?  Why was the Knockin on Heaven's Door thread not moved?  Why was the Remember when... thread not moved?

I am still trying to figure out what is worthy of its own thread in the GNR section.

I don't know. Maybe that subject have been discussed before? Even though the first post was about a new article, the discussion turned into the performance itself. I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure that the performance has its own thread....?

I hear ya dude, but I am pretty sure Knockin on Heaven's Door from the Freddie Mercury Tribute has been discussed before too.  And also this forum's love of Kurt Loder's adulation of Axl Rose has been talked about as well.

Yeah, but that VMA thing is kind of a closed chapter. KOHD is not. KOHD, and i guess every song is, and will always be relevant....

Well, that explanation will not go for everything, but an VMA-article or shall I call it a notice will soon fit into the "Dead Horse"-category IMO....But hey, nothing stopping us from discussing further after it's moved there  :)

Just because the original post is new, doesn't mean the following discussion is anything new. As in this case.

Thanks for the response jarmo, I appreciate it.  It seems like for whatever reason those VMAs are a sensitive topic for the band and some fans.
