My fav decade is the 80s, with afd coming out, and metallica being at their best, aswell with bands like motley crue, skid row and testament releasing quality material.

i wanna say 80's but i'm leaning towards the eary to mid 90's before nu-metal and boy bands hit the scene.

u had, Guns N' Roses and Skid Row still rockin' it,

Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, and of course the Smashing Pumpkins in their prime, with the incredible Siamese Dream.

Also, U2 released their best album, and one of the best albums ever, the fantastic Achtung Baby, where they totally redefined and revamped their sound.

not to mention Rage Against the Machine releasing their debut album.

and speaking of debut albums Tori Amos released her debut Little Earthquakes to rave reviews and impressive sales. ironically the record company almost made her redo the entire record with guitars instead of piano, cuz they didnt think "piano" music would sell. thank god she refused and instead paved the way for other singer/songwriter pianists.

and Alanis Morissette released Jagged Little Pill in 1995, which is a great album.

and i completely forgot about Radiohead, The Bends is awesome.

oh yeah and the Foo Fighers released their best album, The Colour and The Shape.

..and i'm sure i forgot other bands/artists.... the 90's were AWESOME!!
