I'm all for records but this is not a record people are going to talk about. Not like it's that great of something to be talk about. Good luck trying to get the record.  ok

I once witnessed someone have a psychotic episode from lack of sleep.  It's an interesting thing to watch.  If you actually do it, make sure you keep posting.  It could be fun for all of us.
Yeah, and then Jarmo will ban him because he'll think its axlroseven. hihi

Surely 2 WEEKS without sleep, appropriate medication(?)and other  preperations could do some major damage?Even IF you somehow managed. Which sounds very unlikely. If you are serious about this, it might be better to do some homework regarding the matter for starters?
And ay, I bet Guiness couldn't care less. Family testimonials and message board announcements mean jack shit.
I've been holding my breath for 4 months now. This thread and my mom can prove it.

But ehh, Skipping an occasional night is pretty interesting/fun.
I often end up taking 24-30 hour sleepless bursts before important exams and such.I'm sure I could not/don't want to take it any farther than that:)

Well according to the wife of another man who attempted some kind of no-sleep marathon (or maybe he was just having medical issues and couldn't sleep), her husband was awake for like a week straight and ever since then his entire mood changed - he was always somber and moody and depressed. He also allegedly saw apparitions and "shadow people" etc., which scarred him forever and made him have nightmares. Apparently you can become permanently damaged in the brain from this, but I'm not too worried, because I'm already pretty fucked up and manic-depressive anyway.

You are my idle.

Idol.

And you're mine, too.

Because you like Trey Parker.

P.S. I bought BASEketball, I was pleasantly surprised; the hospital scene is classic physical comedy.

Somewhere, there's an insomniac hillbilly meth addict who has stayed awake much longer than the "record". I wouldn't even bother with it.

i dont think ur serious about this cuz u probly have school or work, and if u dont have either maybe its time to get ur life on track.  but anyway i guarantee u wont be able to do it.  i can though.  back when i was hooked on World of Warcraft sleep wasnt an issue, i was never tired and could go on forever.  but browsing even on this forum will tire u out too quick.  i bet u anything that kid was playing some kind of video game to stay awake.

He broke the record in 1963.

I have a job and college but that will just make it all the more interesting.

I don't believe it, and even if it was true that you had 14 days to waste like that then you need to sort some priorities out.

Oh dear.

Idle, adj 1: not in action or at work; "an idle laborer"; "idle
            drifters"etc. etc.

You know those tabloid headlines? They aren't spelling mistakes...

If that is indeed what you meant then you used it incorrectly.  ok

You can't use an adjective as a noun.
