I really don't know what people were expecting of St. Anger, but there are some killer Metallica songs on there - Frantic, St Anger, Some Kind Of Monster, Unnamed Feeling etc. ok

Frantic and St. Anger are ok, but the rest of it i dont like very much. the songs arent THAT bad, they just get really reduntant and grating, especially since there are no guitar solos. the songs just drag on and on.

As far as Metallica albums go I think Load has to be considered the "worst" album with in reason.

I still think the worst album by a legendary band has yet to hit us....

St. Anger is just wrong on so many levels. It's insulting as a fan. I lost alot of love for them with that release.

i will always respect them for the masterpieces that are Master of Puppets, Ride The Lightning, and more or less ...And Justice For All. (Kill 'Em All is fun and solid but not a masterpiece IMO)

and i have a good feeling about this new record. if rick rubin can't save them, no one can!

i like it to man, but it sucked compared to the rest of there albums at the time. The one song on "The Elder" i like is "world without heros" it almost brings a tear to ones eye when listening Cry peace

I think?Van Halen 3 is awful!

I thought LA Guns' "American Hardcore" was a waste of time , even though
they are not a huge group , that album totally sucked.

As for the previous poster of Def Leppard's "X"
I disagree , I think that was a good album , worth the money.

...And Justice For All worse than St. Anger? thats the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. Blackened, Eye of The Beholder, and the title track have some of the coolest riffs i've ever heard from Metallica. Not to mention it has the song "one" which is the first Metallica song i ever heard and got me into them. Also, the instrumental "To Live Is To Die" that was written to honor Cliff Burton is also great.

sure the production sucks but that doesnt make it a bad record.

St. Anger is def. the worst from Metallica. i tried to like it, i really did. but the drums give me a headache and the songs just go on and on.
