At first I thought that this thread wasn't too good of an idea because it really easily goes into a "look what I've got, and wait 'till you see all my cars" type of thing.
Well, anyways. I did this today, and it came out ok, so I thought I'd share.
I don't know how long it'll be online, but enjoy it while it lasts.
It's a standard Epiphone Les Paul, with little less standard pickups...
Blah, I'm kidding. They're standard too. I just wanted it to sound good.

Maybe if I get a shitload of money some day I might go for the overpriced Gibson thing. For now, this'll do pretty well with my PODxt and a piece of USB cable.

Wow, is that a spaceship?  Here's mine - an Aria Pro II Les Paul with original pickups:  I have a Yamaha Strato with two humbuckers and one single coil, but I don't have any idea what is the model. I know is not that good but I don't have that much money to buy a Gibson, as much as I want.  |

Nah, I use DMC PAF replica covers. They have the original PAF shape and make up. I figured if I have an R9 I may as well get more historically accurate parts. |

Yeah there are plenty of good covers. I just chose the DMCs because they're made of the same materials as the original PAF covers from the 50's and have the correct shape for that area. As I said, the reissues are fairly close to the original 50s LPs so if I find parts that are more accurate I usually buy them. |
