Could this be about them possibly having trouble airing the video because of the guns in it?

I thought it was really odd, but that actually makes a lot of sense.  I wonder ...

No it has to do with clean edits of the record.

The "clips" that they are showing aren't shots for the slither video. The video is about a girl finding her way to a rave in a catacomb.

Its 1987 all over again!
Thats when the most controversial band (GNR) put out one of the most controversial records ever (AFD). It was a time when music was sweet like candy on many fronts, and music didn't push the envelope with sound, image and lyrical content.
Im not putting VR at that level in 2004. I just think that Slash and co. may have another thing up their sleeves to thumb their noses at the industry and PMRCC and demonstrate that you can't stop a great music record - even when it offends Tipper Gore!
Slash and Co. know how to do it.
Scott Weiland and STP had their own provacations in the 1990s. He's a master at pushing the envelope, arguabl;y one of the best since Axl.

Who says you have to do clean edits of your songs?

The record company?

I think he just tries to make it seem like he has something to say.  Its hip these days to portray yourself as a tortured misunderstood poet.

Explain this ...

"Let's hear it for the lambs!"

WTF??

Are the lambs anti-nazis ?

Has Scott made friends with some lambs who're fighting Censorship ?

Or am I just ignorant .. that sentence makes perfect sense.

Although Im clueless as to what Weiland is talking about specifically, that "lamb" comment is certainly sarcastic.

I agree, I think that comment is sarcastic. I think he means that people who are pro-sensorship are like a herd of sheep, who are afraid to change the system. Maybe? Possibly? Ah...I dont know.

I agree that the lamb part was being said sarcastically.

There's a saying that goes something like this..."like a lamb being led to slaughter."  Maybe that's what he meant by lambs.   Undecided
