I thought this might be a fun topic to talk about as the year is coming to a close.? ?Grin

Well yea, the headline says it all.? It could be an Axl Moment, GN'R Moment, or a personal experience, anything.

Mine would be a toss up between the leaks and seeing them perform live (and personally) for the first time in S.F.? hihi

Sorry if this threads been done already.

Axl on the radio although Tommy grabbing the mic in Axl's hand to yell at a fan was a GNR first.  I don't think anybody has ever tried to take the mic out of Axl's hand.  The guy has some balls or was lost in the moment and is still apologizing.

For me, theres really too many to name....besides seeing them 3 times, one of the most exciting things were just knowing that something was happening in Axl land. When he showed up at the Korn party, that's what started it all, then the shows in NY, the interview ect, ect. Bring on '07!

The way that my heart pounded when I heard the opening riffs to WELCOME to THE JUNGLE at the Hammerstein Ballroom and almost falling over the rail several times because I was so excited! Having a small picture of me from that night show up in  Rolling Stone Magazine right underneath Axl's microphone!(THANKYOU Jennaside!) And being invited to go in like a VIP by some very nice people at the JOINT in Las Vegas!

Listening to the leaks.
Watching RIR 5 on my computer (first GNR show I watched live since RIR 3).
Seeing them live at Hammersmith in London.

Hearing the opening notes of "Jungle" at the Hammerstein on the 12th...seeing Axl 20 ft from me on stage....seeing Ron's debut with the band...hearing "Better" live.

Yes, I count all that as one moment.    hihi

Sorry if this threads been done already.

My favourite moment of 2006 has to be seeing GNR @ Donnington, UK. Hadn't seen em since 91 @ Wembley,UK with Skid Row and NIN.  Also, the fact Baz and Izzy were there just blew me away.  Leaks have been a high point too, probably still listen to Live Era more if I never had them which is worth getting if you like GNR especially good Live tracks on it.

Happy Xmas and New year to all Gunners EVERYWHERE and especially a thank you to the guys behind AXL that made 2006 what it is. Thank You.

Their Return in NYC, it was incredible atmosphere!!

CD release date and the letter!!

Going from not having a guitar player (not knowing who it was), to having an awesome guy getting very integrated into the band and having a lot of fan interaction!

Seeing Izzy jam and have a blast!!!

Seeing GNR come back to LA for the first time in years and ROCK the house every time!!!

Overall, probably the initial Izzy return in NYC back in May. People were crying n' shit. It was that important to them.

For me, with a bias, gotta be the Tampa show. Seeing the Guns in person!

At the Edmonton show half way thru brownstone he threw a fan out.  i know that would really suck to get thrown out but obviously the guy got thrown out for a reason (crowd surfing when axl was telling the crowd to move back) but before the show i was secretly hoping he would chuck a fan out lol.
