Axl should do a cover album of Janis Joplin songs! He can do a great blues voice that would really do well on those songs. Just listen to the Lies version of You're Crazy. He should use that voice and do some blues songs.

Yeah that would be cool Axl doing Kiss from a rose I'd like him to Walking In Memphis dont ask why but I think you could have some kickass solo in there and nice paino tune and Axl would tear it up.

I don't want to hear Axl cover anymore songs... ever. GNR have covered more than enough fuckin' songs in their day. They did a whole albums worth of covers and their greatest hits album had four friggen' covers on it for Christ's sake. They've probably released over twenty studio versions of other peoples songs, which is unheard of from a band with so few albums.  Personally, I'd like to hear some of the songs that he's CREATED in the last 10 years (aside from the six "new" songs that've been around for many years now.) smoking

Staley was great but the dude can't even be compared to Axl's great vocal abilities.

I'd love to hear axl cover Wild Horses.

It would be pretty cool if Axl covered a VR song or two. Like a GNR version of the Slither video, just imagine Axl doing his crab dance in the catacombs.. Awesome!   drool Of course, there would never be a snowball's chance in hell Axl would ever condsider the idea.

I'd love to hear Axl cover more songs from that band Guns N' Roses.

He did pretty good covering songs off of AFD with his new band. I'd like to hear what they can do with a wider selection of UYI tunes.

I WILL MEET AXL!!!

« Reply #38 on: June 30, 2004, 11:42:00 AM »

Call me Crazy, but I think Axl could do a powerful version of:

IRON MAIDEN's "Run through the Hills" . I think the pickup and the vibe would be perfect for someone like Axl. I think he could make it his own.

JUDIS PREIST's "Heading for the Highway" the guitars on this song alon are killer and the chorus is very good. If you ever get a chance and are board on KAZAA try downloading this song. Personally its one of ym favorite priest song and once again I think Axl could make it his own

Thats probabaly what Axl already did! hihi Headed for the highway and then ran to the hills! Smiley

BTW Good Song that Axl could really tear up! Grin
