You may be right. There is some cool stuff on the site, official material with different covers etc... There are some items for sale on there for $5-10 that would sell for $100 on ebay Europe / USA.

I never understand why people don't just list on eBay - much more exposure.  eBay even has a chinese web site, but there's a lot less GNR stuff on there:

I would like to bid on some of those things on the taobao site, but turns out I can't read Chinese.  Oh well

A lot of people don't use eBay for 1 reason.. PayPal.. The reason is because thier business practices border on shady in some respects (freezing ppls accounts for months while it collects intrest for PayPal itself.. this has happened to sites collecting for charity.)

If anyone wants me to buy something for them let me know.  I can help facilitate or check on something if it is located in Beijing (北京).  I will also be heading to the states on 3 Jan so could possibly bring an item back if someone located in states really likes/wants an item, just send me a message.

Never heard of that but if you say so I believe it.  However, and I could be wrong here, I have never ever seen a listing would you absolutely positively HAD to use paypal.  One thing that will always be true - CASH is king.  I have never had a problem sending cash in the mail even to "shady" countries (won't list any at risk of offending anyone).  I'll admit I do prefer to use paypal only beacuse you're covered if shit happens.  Again, just my two cents here.

I've seen paypal only auctions - plenty of them.

Paypal is the way to go, if only just because of the security.

Based upon the exchange rate the DVD's are approx $3-4 each. Shipping is the problem, best to buy the DVD's in bulk and have one expensive shipment.
