I'm really psyched for this show. I'm taking my brother who isnt much of a GNR fan, so hopefully this concert will change his mind. See everyone on the 13TH!

Heres my dilemma, Im going to the concert in NYC, im taking off that Friday.? I can't take off the following Tuesday.? I probably wont get in close to 2:30 after the concert, then have to be up at 5:30 for work.? What should i do Huh

i'm in the same boat as you. AND i'm starting a new job next week. so 2 weeks in, i'm taking a bunch of days off for gnr shows. i'm sure they're thrilled about that.  hihi

but i decided not to take off on friday (just leaving work a little early). then i'm taking monday and tuesday off.

you only live once, and you never know when it all ends.  ok

I suck at photography.? ?Embarrassed

The pics I took in the daytime, which are mostly of the Federal Hill area I keep talking about, turned out just fine.? ?Smiley

But most of the pics I took at night didn't turn out well, if at all.? ?Sad

Here are the best of the nighttime ones:

1st Mariner Arena:

Wharf Rat:

You can view all of my Baltimore pics on PhotoBucket (http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l313/Cleopatra2U/Baltimore/) or on my Yahoo! 360? (http://360.yahoo.com/cleopatra2u -- the photo album is on the upper right).

I'm sorry I suck...? I had hoped to have some better pics for the out-of-towners who are coming to this show.? ?Cry

I didnt go all out for this show, I'll be in 207, but I got row A.  After getting 3 tix for MSG at 89.95 a pop + all the chargers after. I didn't want to go all in at 75, but I'm sure with the stage being out to the mid of 103, i ll have a good view.  I hope we get to know who the special guest is sometime soon

Wharf Rat works for me...

Are you in for that as well, GnR-NOW?  Glad you've decided to go to this show...  BTW, 207-A sounds like a good place to hang a banner...

I think I'm going - but because of the traffic coming from Northern Virginia, I'm going to wait and come late - maybe around 10 PM or so.  The show isn't selling that well - so shouldn't be packed.  Tickets are still available for the floor as of right now.
Plus I'm by myself so I can work up to the front.....

I work in Beltsville...  I'm gonna try to leave work a little early to beat traffic, get checked in to my hotel, change, and walk to the Wharf Rat (which is two blocks south of the arena) by 6:00pm...  And hang out there until 7:30pm-7:45pm...  To get to my seat just in time for Baz...

how do you think parking will be? I haven't been to 1st Mariner in years, last time was when it was called the Baltimore Arena.  I know there's a garage close by right?

I believe the arena has its own parking, but I have no idea how much it costs.

There are a bunch of public parking garages in the area that run about $10, but you have to watch when they close...  GNR will probably be on stage past 1am, and some of the garages close before then on a weeknight.

But, being as it's a weeknight, you may get lucky and find metered (until 8pm only) parking on the street.

That's very true, I need to find a garage that will be open when the show gets out.  I'm assuming the ones right next to the arena would stay open but who knows.  I'm going to take a ride up there next weekend just to map things out.

I still can't believe this is the 3rd time this year, that I will be seeing GNR.  2004 and 2005 seemed almost like nothing would ever happen again.

I will be there, along with my girlfriend and mother, neither of whom have ever seen the band. I am a born and raised marylander (actually born in Baltimore) and  now go to the University of Maryland. So cool that Jarmo is coming in for the show. I didn't get the chance to meet any  of you in NYC last may, so hopefully I will get that chance this time.

ok here is my situation My flight back to the Uk is at 18.30 on the 14th flying from Newark Airport. I would like to go to this show but i dont know how the public transport works in Us. Would i be able to get a bus from Baltimore to Newark once the show has finished say 2-3am or will it be early morning if so how long would the journey take aprox as i would need to first get to Bloomfeild NJ and then up to the Airport.

Is there an online bustimetable i can check up on

I don't know much about buses, but there is the Amtrak train...  I used the "Fare Finder" at http://www.amtrak.com/ and found a train departing Baltimore's Penn Station (this is definitely the station you'll want to depart from) at 3:55am on the 14th, arriving at Newark NJ International Airport (I'm not 100% sure this is where you want to arrive at) at 6:14am.  The fare is 70$US.  There are trains that leave later for up to 91$US.  Car rental is cheaper...
