I think that a list of sets of recent GN'R has too much cover music such as Whole Lotta Rosie and Dead Flowers.
In addition, I feel have too much past music such as Used To Love Her. Though even I.R.S disappears from a list of recent sets.
I heard most of the music of the Chinese democracy by Tokyo performance in 2009. It was a splendid experience.
I want music of the Chinese democracy has priority over GN'R more and to play it. Because it is 2012 now

how do you feel about this?

I can't really complain about any of the setlists, they play 3 hours of kick ass songs.  That said, I would like to hear more "Chinese Democracy" songs as opposed to covers.  A band like GNR doesn't have to play covers but they clearly enjoy it so more power to them.  But I see where you are coming from.  If given the choice I would rather hear "Twat" or"Prostitute" instead of an AC/DC cover, i think any hardcore fan of a band would rather want to hear originals.  But I must say that the covers they played on the last tour were really cool, and are in heavy rotation on my IPOD.

Thank you for a Bodhi reply.
I listened to Whole Lotta Rosie, Mama Kin, Nice Boys in Tokyo of 2009, too and was excited very much. These cover music really enlivens a place. I could be present at a very great performance and was very happy.
GN'R is splendid by the current tour
However, I pray for the reproduction of GN'R having done it in Tokyo.

Finally please forgive it for my terrible English.

I don't have a problem with the covers per se.  Though a song like "Riff Raff" I could do without.  Although the band seems to love playing it and do a good job on it.  But yeah, I'd prefer more CD songs.  Not sure why IRS was dropped.  I thought they performed that song quite well.  I realize TWAT is probably a bitch to sing live for Axl, but that song is killer.  Love to hear Catcher, If the World, Prostitute, etc. as well.

This is a fine example of the band not being able to win... it wasn't too long ago that people were begging for more Illusion era songs.  hihi

The fact is, you can't please everyone but GN'R are trying their best at the moment with a setlist that brilliantly showcases Appetite, Illusion and CD tracks. I agree that sometimes the covers could be switched around, in favour of more CD songs, but that's my only complaint regarding the setlist...

I think the setlist at the moment is the best it's ever been TBH.  Cool

I agree, but I just think they could change up the CD songs they play.  I'm not saying they should drop Illusions or AFD songs, just rotate CD songs.  Instead of "Sorry" one night play "If The World".  Instead of "Shackler's" one night play "IRS".  Something along those lines.

I liked how more than half of Chinese' got played at every show when they first started up again in 2009-10 (including the alteration of IRS and Madagascar, the now elusive Scraped and Catcher in the Rye, and the now absent If The World).

Bring those setlists back, drop the AC/DC covers and Patience for Civil War and Estranged, and then the setlist will truly be the best it's ever been Wink

They play on average 7 CD songs a show and 7 AFD songs. Selfishly I want to hear TWAT live at least once, but can't really complain. They way they've been playing Rocket Queen on this current run is the best it's sounded to me

There's a bunch of songs to choose from, and you'll never be able to please everybody.
