Please move if you need to, if its in wrong section....Taken from NME

Adrian Bayford, the man who won ?148 million in Friday's (August 10) EuroMillions lottery draw, has said he would love to spend some of that money reuniting the original line-up of Guns N' Roses.

Bayford, who is 41 and runs a music shop in Haverhill, Suffolk, told The Sun that his dream would be to reunite the estranged rockers and would happily spend some of his newly acquired fortune on making it happen.

Asked if he'd like to splash out on a big gig, he said: "I think I would just have to get Guns N' Roses together ? the original line-up, mind. I am a real fan."

Of the line-up that recorded 1987's 'Appetite For Destruction', drummer Steven Adler was fired in 1990 and guitarist Izzy Stradlin quit the following year. Five years later Slash quit and was followed out the door by bassist Duff McKagan in 1997. Both McKagan and Stradlin have joined the new line-up of the band onstage at various events, but Slash has now not performed with singer Axl Rose in almost 20 years.

Earlier this week, the current line-up of Guns N' Roses announced that they will be playing a 12-date residency at the Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in October.

The rockers will play a run of shows titled the 'Appetite For Democracy' residency and have promised to deliver a lengthy and career-spanning setlist at each of the shows. The shows begin on October 31 and then take place on November 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 14, 17, 18, 21, 23 and 24.

Guns N' Roses Strong Since 1999!

I suppose the positive way to look at it is that he has just given Guns N Roses some more press in the Sun. And it's not exactly all bad, because the article does say that they're playing the Vegas residency, which shows people Axl and BBF and co are still going strong.

I have a problem with the term "real fan" that gets thrown about by people. The inference is that you're only a "real fan" if you're just like them... in this guy's case, if you only want to see the original line-up play. My general rule of thumb is if someone describes themselves as a "real fan", they're not.
