Mybe its , perhaps is part of a settlement, , to appease slash and duff, , seeing how good the first GH did, whre they all make royalyties off it, . Im speculating but, it could be something that may end the lawsuit. I dunno. But if anythign I say is right, that would only mean that it wil clear the way for CD, immedialtly in 06. And hasnt that what richard and others have said.HOPIN for 06 actually he said. But no he also said that there would be a gnr album in 06 , BUt what do I know. Undecided peace beer

could it be a disguise for some other album?

Thought the same thing the minute I saw the topic. But still... wouldn't that be a bit of a stretch, even for Axl?  Huh

If they wanted to do something cool.... they should release the best recording possible of the Ritz '88 show... drool

Not sure what to make of this... seems like they already used the "big guns" (WTTJ, SCOM, PC, Patience, NR, Don't Cry, etc. on Vol. I). I don't think a disk of more obscure (but great) GN'R tracks will be that big of a seller... Huh

Even though it won't turn out to be the case, I'll throw the idea out there that this might be a cover for the release of Chinese Democracy. I seem to remember before the last greatest hits cd came out people saying that before the illusion albums came out they were talked about as being a greatest hits cd. Again this most likely won't be the case, but it is very strange for gnr to release 2 greatest hits cds when they only really released three and a half cds of original material during their career. Then again, there is a profit to be made by releasing another greatest hits cd so I don't see why the record company wouldn't do it.

Yeah this is what im thinking, i recall those discussions about the UYI being masked as a greatest hits cd. Its way out there though. At least we dont have to wait too long to find out!

Im sure someone will email Merck and ask him.

I don't think it's true at all, looks like a bullshit rumour. No other site mentions it.

Hmm. Nightrain, It's So Easy, Rocket Queen, Garden of Eden, The Garden, Pretty Tied Up, Don't Cry (alt.)...Those are about the only songs I can think of. Perhaps 'Oh My God'?

It's So Easy
Nightrain
Mr. Brownstone
Rocket Queen
Used to love her
Garden of Eden
The Garden
Pretty Tied Up
Estranged
Dead Horse

Not the worst CD in the world in my opinion. Add Heartbreak Hotel as a bonus track and I would buy it for sure.

i think if Geffen want to release something that can make 'em roll in $$ they should release a double DVD with all great live material, beggining with Ritz 88,and the other stuff like "live era" - from all the years, different live songs, it would sell a lot more than any other greatest hits!
anyway i hope that this rumour have to do something with Chinese Democracy ?yes ?beer

I would say that it isn't in fact a Volume 2 following on from the recently released G, but a new version of a Greatest Hits compilation. I mean look how many variations of 'Greatest Hits' The Doors have!

How can this be??? It's so ridicoulous, releasing 2 GH albums in such a short period of time, by a band with so little material !

Could this be....

Hmmm!
Is this the GNR news Tommy was talking about? Chinese Democracy greatest hit..  hihi

Is it possible it could be a coverup name for a new album release? Have any other bands done this before? A coverup until the announcement?

Just speculations, but i guess today anything can happen..

They also released Aint it Fun and Since I dont Have you as singles, ?maybe the live version of KOHD from Freddie M tribute would be on there (also released in Uk - and i think was the highest charting Gn'r song in the Uk charts. ?There are songs to warrant it - but I dont see the point. ?Esp after the live Gn'r double cd as well.

It's stalling and making Geffen money which they no doubt lost from CD already.

sounds more like a rumour.
