Since everyone creates a new "What shirt is Axl wearing here?" thread like every time he has a new show, let's just post it here.

Speaking of which, anyone know what type of shirt he wears that has the two guns on the front with the faded lettering? He is wearing it in that photo where people said it looked like he had wet himself.  hihi

I don't have it on my computer anymore. It was the angle the photo was taken at mixed with sweat and the coloring of the jeans, made it look like there was a massive wet spot there.  hihi

yea post photo.

But do we really need an Axl's clothing thread?

I think it would cut back on the amount of new topics related to his clothing that we get all the time.

If people think this is stupid the mods can delete it, I'm just trying to free up some room because I really do get tired of the clothing threads more than any others, even "when is CD coming out??" threads.

Ha, hadn't seen the sexual innuendo on it before, that's nice. I wouldn't buy it now though, I don't usually like wearing shirts that are sexual and whatnot, because of the area I live in. I used to live in London and bought FCUK clothing. No one cared in London when I wore the shirt with FCUK printed in the middle. Try wearing it in rural PA though and you'd be surprised by how many people look at you like you're Charles Manson!  hihi

What shades are those?

They look like the same ones he's had since the 80s to me.

Do you know what type they are? I've always liked his sunglasses. I love sunglasses so whenever I see ones I like I'm like, "WHAT KIND ARE THOSE?!"  Tongue hihi

Not a clue, man. Sorry. I'm sure they're really nice and really expensive, though.

Axl's sunglasses kinda look like Jim's shades from back in the day:

Kinda look like Jim's from back in the day:

Jim was the first modern rock star. People never really credit him with that, they say the Beatles pioneered modern rock, but in terms of IMAGE it was really Morrison's that stuck - the leather, the sunglasses, the long hair, the brood. (I'm not saying The Beatles weren't influential; I'm just saying the image of Morrison stuck a bit more with bands like GN'R - whereas I think the image of the Beatles stuck more with the indie groups of today. Musically The Beatles of course influenced all rock.)

Yep, very true. I'm glad to see Axl wearing the leather shirts and jeans this year with semi-normal hair instead of looking like a freak wannabe rapper with football jerseys and creepy dreadlocks down to his waist almost.

Jim was the first true rock star.

And as far as Axl's look goes, I couldn't agree more. The jerseys were cool since I am into football. But it was a bit too much & overdone. Why they had to be 4 sizes too big I don't know, well that was 2002, all in the past......we all make mistakes. Just like Tommy Lee with Methods of Mayhem  hihi

Jim was the first true rock star.

Most definitely. He was a pioneer while not really intending to be, which makes him even cooler.

Jim was the first true rock star.

Yes he was. I believe he once said if he hadn't become a rock star he may have become a serial killer. He had that Charles Manson look in his eyes. You can definitely tell that brooding, anti-social thing wasn't just an act - he had a lot of issues, and that came through in his songs. It's why they're still so compelling today.
