Mr. Brownstone was a drug dealer. To 'dance' would be to give money for the drug.

The slang term for heroin use is, "Chasing the Dragon"

I know these things, for I used to be an undercover cop, before I went to work for Wal-Mart. Wink

I had some idea it was about drugs or alcahol... i just didnt quite understand Dancin with Mr Brownstone

I'm ashamed of this but as a kid I thought it was about a guy name brownstone that called all the guys to go on and do the concert.  hihi

From everything I've read, there was a point in the mid to late 80's when all of them were addcited to heroin (even Axl, gasp!).? When they were going to start recording UYI, all of them were sent to rehab.? Steven, however, couldn't kick it, and that's why he was outed. I think Izzy even sold it to make money for them.
