Title: Steven Rolling Stone Interview
Post by: Brundle25 on December 07, 2011, 03:39:03 PM
I know it's yet another Steven 'Reunion' Interview but he mentions that he asked current GNR management if he can play on the current tour:

Quote
It's interesting that Axl was willing to make peace with Duff and Izzy, but he seems to have really held onto his anger towards Slash. He even called him a cancer.

'I've been reading his Tweets about all the shows he's been doing in the same states. My brother e-mailed his manager to see if I could come play a song. I had him do it twice, and he has not returned the e-mail. He can't be mad at me! '

Steven just doesn't get how pathetic he is.

I love Steven's unbridled sense of humor, passion, and enthusiasm for all things life.  I can't wait to see him there!

Steven just doesn't get how pathetic he is.

Well then, you have something in common with him!   : ok:

Steven just doesn't get how pathetic he is.

I think he gets it, but doesn't care.

Expect for when they kicked me out. Then I had doubts. My doubts were confirmed! It wasn't like when Bruce Dickinson joined Iron Maiden. The band didn't get bigger and better. That's what was supposed to happen, but it didn't.

I feel sorry for him. He seemed to be convinced...very sad...

You shouldn't feel sorry for him.  He will be at the ceremony accepting an award for his musical contributions and you will all be watching, from the sidelines.

thanks for your advise, but im still feeling it.

I have no other choice than that. We're talking about a person who sued Axl Rose and his band for ''being responsible of his drug addiction'' and got 2 million dollars from that, and then spent his complete life begging to gather with the people he sued just to abandon anonimity and gain some other dollars. He knows there's a band rolling, a band that involves other persons, other lives, but he still continues to ignore it all and keep begging for a reunion with ''evil Axl'' (he throws shit to Axl in the 95% of the interviews he did from 1995 to present). He seem to hate Axl, but he asks his brother to call the band's manager to see if he can play some songs with him and the guys he's completely ignoring every time he open his mouth. That's having zero dignicy, and a more than solid reason to feel sorry for him.

Sorry, I think its logic to feel sorry for him. I dont care if he's getting an award just because he found the right person in the right place at the right moment. There you have Neil Peart, one of the best drummers in rock history, which haven't been inducted to that Rock Hall of Fame, and a more than mediocre drummer will be. I dont think this award qualifies as a parameter of anything. He's not better than me or anyone else here because of that.

estebanf, you forgot that GN'R camp wanted to cut out Steven from everything back then. they sold AFD Tshirts with his face/skull on it and he shouldnt get any cent from that. the court thing righfully did re-give him those rights and money for stuff like this. it said they had the right to kick him out but not to steal his credits.

in general i do find most of Adler's news the recent years pretty entertaining  ;D

but i have to say that i dont think that the HOF-induction/cerenomy will have good influence on his health afterwards. there is some possibility he'd OD on drugs, excitement and sorrow the same night or shortly after.

You're wasting your breath, Limulus.  Our pal Estabnf is a notorious old lineup hater who mindlessly despises anything not related to Axl Rose.  You're correct of course, and Estbf doesn't have any of the facts straight (e.g. Adler actually sued the band, NOT Axl himself), but logic doesn't exist in the mind of our factually challenged chum called esteboff.

lol at calling it "Axl Rose and his band" and not Guns N Roses.... :hihi:   I still like you though, estebanf.  I'm actually seeing "Axl and his band" in a couple weeks, cuz even though I like the old members too, I still support everybody.

Steven just doesn't get how pathetic he is.

That's harsh, although I do feel sorry for him, Axl obviously doesn't want to play live with Steven and Adler just doesn't get it
