Is there that much bad blood between Perry and the band? Those guys need to kiss & make up. Untill then Journey ( and Steve Perry ) won't capture a lot of attention.

I haven't listened to Journey in a long time, but I thought their first couple of albums were better before Perry joined the band. His feminine style ruined what could have been a kick as band.

They became known for the rock ballads with Perry- that was their claim to fame but I heard they were much more of a rock band in the early days.

watching that singers other videos, he seems to just mimic whatever song hes covering, with no originality or style of his own.

Sure they may have been "Journey" before STeve Perry

But Steve Perry became such a part of Journey, that no other singer is gonna work.



Journey to most people includes Steve Perry.

Many people who listened to them before Perry think that he ruined the band with that voice. When he joined the band is when they started doing radio friendly pop crap. Check out the link above and decide for yourself.
