Tommy won't know anything.  I talked to a member a couple of weeks ago, and the whole thing is up to Axl.

"Sooner or later Axl will realize that it can't be perfect, and he'll put it out".

I'm probably going to get a chance to talk to Tommy tonight.  Anybody have a good question for him?  And No, he will have no idea about when CD will be released.

Yeah, I'll mention that I liked it.  I talked to him last time he was in Portlad and one thing that he said that stood out was how Brain wasn't going to play with Buckethead anymore.  I don't think this turned out to be true.  It seems a little funny to me how nobody in GNR seems to know anything.

Well, the show in Portland last night was a very good one.  Tommy seems to have a very good time playing with Alien Crime Syndicate.  For the first 3 songs, Tommy went and sat on the bar and played with just his guitar and no micraphone.  The crowd all closed in around him and it was very cool.  He then played about 6 songs up on stage with Alien, and then finished the show with a song all by himself on stage.

After watching this show and having it be my 2nd Tommy show I have now seen, I have to say that Tommy is Rock N Roll!  He just flat out rocks and has a fucking blast doing it.  Up on stage before one of his songs, Tommy mentioned how he loves just playing and being with his friends.  If he could, he would do it the rest of his life.

I talked with Tommy briefly but nothing about GNR.  He seemed like he was a in a hurry when I stopped him so I didn't want to bother him.  After the concert however, I did try and get some info from members of Alien Crime Syndicate.  I felt that since they and Tommy are good friends, maybe they could shed some light.  Lately I kinda feel like Axl may be losing some interest from the other guys (Tommy, Dizzy, etc) because he is taking so long with the album.  I think that the other memebs are getting really frustrated.  Therefor, I acted like I didn't know much about GNR and asked one of the members if Tommy was still in GNR?  He said "yeah, oh yeah"  I then asked what was going on with that whole thing because I haven't heard much about it for a while.  He responded by saying "You have to ask Tommy about that".  I asked another one of the guys the same question and he put his head down and said "oh I don't know anything about that, you'll have to ask Tommy".

Really, I just wanted some reasurrance that Tommy is still happy with GNR.  I don't know if I got that, but I do find it interesting how nobody can talk about GNR.  I wonder if Tommy 1) doesn't even tell his friends whats going on with GNR?  2)  Tells his friends, and they don't talk about it with anybody else?  Or 3) (which I think is the real reason), Tommy doesn't even know what is going on in GNR?  I personally think that everything is up to Axl, he has reported back a couple of times to the guys about how the album is almost done, they in return say this in interviews, then Axl pulls the plug, guys like Dizzy and Tommy then look stupid for saying that it should be out soon, and then it happens all over again.  You can't help but think that the guys are getting frustrated with Axl.

Anyhow, that was my story and thoughts on last night.  The show was good, and Tommy is having a good time.

Not surprising, it's totally normal. It's a miracle that nobody left yet.

sounds awesome.

I've seen him twice and he's just really cool, friendly and relaxed on stage.  Like you, I didnt pester him with GNR questions either, it just didnt feel right.  I guess I have to thank HTGTH for introducing me to Tommy Stinson, and the Replacements too.

The Paul Westerburg incident had me kinda worried for a bit, but then I figured they're old friends so what the heck - they'll record a song or two and have fun doing it.

To Me it is Not a Miracle at all.... It is just probably Very Good money, GNR name Mega Boosts their Solo carrier? and there is a Possibility of Reaching Worldwide Fame If C.D will be released.

Thanks for the review.  Sounds like Tommy put on a good show.

As far as your comments on wanting to be assured that Tommy is still happy with GN'R, I understand that it looks frustrating from a fan's perspective because we don't know anything.  However, just because we don't know anything, and ACS doesn't know anything, that doesn't mean that Tommy doesn't know anything.  I just think it's as simple as Tommy abiding by his confidentiality agreement, and nothing more.

The last interview Tommy did, he sounded pretty satisfied with GN'R.  Until he says otherwise, I'll leave it as that.
