Ain't been on here in years!
Great to see Falcon still posting regular updates representing the lads ok

Heard Dark Energy a few weeks back and though it was alright but nothing special, heard a bit of Deeply Ordered Chaos on Planet Rock the other day though and must say I'm looking forward to the new record very much now  Smiley

A new vid with appearances from Ian, Billy and Johnny from The Cult's forthcoming album "Hidden City" for the song "Hinterland" debuting at Billboard can be scene here:

http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/rock/6828946/cult-hinterland-video-premiere-hidden-city-ian-astbury-exclusive

"U.K. goth-mystic rockers The Cult are primed to cap off their most recent trilogy of albums with Hidden City, due Feb. 5. They?ve hyped it as a window into humankind?s innermost thoughts, and on the video for its latest single, we get to see what frontman Ian Astbury and company are musing about.

In the brand-new music video for the powerful ?Hinterland,? a mysterious white-clad young woman enters a dream world and envisions ?a shift in human consciousness.? Check it out below, premiering exclusively via Billboard:

??Hinterland' is a place both real and imagined, a hidden city symbolic of a new Rome,? Astbury says. ?Through the eyes of several witnesses we observe a young woman as she realizes her enlightened self in a dystopian dream world. ?Hinterland' is filled with symbolism, reflecting a new aeon in the shift of human consciousness as we realign with our planet?s natural rhythms.?

The Cult are being honored by the Grammy Museum, very cool.

http://www.grammymuseum.org/events/detail/the-cult

The Cult's performance at Coachella in 2014 was a defining moment for the British rock band. Rolling Stone hailed it as "the Messianic moment" of the festival, and it subsequently set the wheels in motion for the band to begin recording their 10th studio album, Hidden City. Due out on February 5, 2016, Hidden City will complete a circle that band members Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy have long been forming, beginning with 2007's Born Into This and 2012's Choice of Weapon. The closing chapter on the album trilogy, Hidden City was produced by Bob Rock and written by Astbury and Duffy. It features Astbury's signature baritone and blood-soaked lyrics paired with Duffy's smoldering, textured guitar tones, creating a fearless musical environment. The album's name stems from the Spanish phrase "La Ciudad Oculta," a lower-income area of Buenos Aires, Argentina where unfathomable poverty exists. The Argentine government turns a blind eye toward the "hidden city" while highlighting the cosmopolitan and European flair of the more proper sections of the city. Thus, "Hidden city" became the perfect metaphor for revolt of the self and soul. The GRAMMY Museum welcomes The Cult to the Clive Davis Theater for a conversation on their career and forthcoming new album, moderated by Scott Goldman, Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares. The discussion will be followed by an intimate performance.

Seems Billy has let the cat out of the bag on gigs with GNR this summer, he's been mentioning them quite alot in recent interviews promoting The Cult's new record and tour.

Always cool to see long time friends sharing a bill. Smiley

The lads are doing a series of "Death Cult" shows later in this year.
Setlist to feature material from SDC, DC, Dreamtime and Love.

They'll be playing some stuff that hasn't featured in decades.
Hopefully might see Jamie Stewart pop up for a couple of tunes at some point too.

Got my tickets for the Barrowlands show in Glasgow.
