Title: Looking to buy a new synth, any tips? advice?

As the title states...  ;D

Now, I don't know if anyone plays the keyboard, piano, synth or whatever here, I always seem to get the impression that everyone plays the guitar  :P So, im thinking of getting a new synth. I already have a Roland stage piano, but I really need something thats a bit more lightweight and can enable me to screw around with my own noises, rather than rely on the stuff already loaded. Thus...

Anyone got any advice? I've looked at the Nord Clavia series, and also the Novation KS3+4... and im looking to spend about ?1000 as a rough guide (about $1883.20)

Any help?

That's prolly right. There are a few people who do play the keyboards. You might want to ask them. There are some threads here for piano sheet music, so...

they have good synths and are cheap and good...
it depends what are you lookin for too..
