Before the last commercial break, "Slither" was played.  I'm not holding my breath for a surprise appearance, but at least MTV played some real music during this show.

AC/DC's "Back in Black" was also played earlier.

See, if they wanted to make it a GOOD show... they'd use Slither as the hint and then have VR come out at the end.

But that's just me...  Roll Eyes

Well yeah, but since VR is still in europe, I don't think so.

Theres a better chance for Van Halen to play than VR, right now

Hey, even though I'm not a Van Hagar fan... I'll them over this crap any day. Do you see this Polyphonic Spree  crap? Uh... what?

Also-- since nobody saw my response in the VMA thread in the GN'R section... did you guys see how that guy from Jet blatantly poked fun at Slash by coming up with a drink, cursing and saying "oops!! I didn't say that!" That made me REALLY angry.   Angry

The Wondergirls (featuring Weiland, Ian Astbury and Orgy's Jay Gordon) remake of Sly Fox's "Let's Go All The Way" was also played coming back from break..

He wasn't poking fun at Slash.  He was literally trying to be Slash.  More bad boy posturing.  Too bad it's been done before, and much better.

The band Jet really needs to invest in some shampoo.

Well, "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" sounds freakishly like Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life".  Roll Eyes
