Bah, Judas Priest don't sing about goblins and have daft (and not particularily good) 8 minute solo's......
You know, the whole 'D&D' bit (and you obviously not liking it) is perfectly understandable...........
Many people just don't go for that 'over the top' presentation..............
...............nor can they get their own heads outta their own ARSES (happy with that ya Brit?)..............
MOVING ON
Don't try and tell me that the likes of "Metal Meltdown" (real Priest fan?
?) with it's unimpressive axe work (even for the time frame) comes close to the likes of "Hallowed Be Thy Name"..............with it's quintessentially classic main riff, and absolutely gorgeous solo.........
Don't try and tell me that Judas Priest (The AC/DC of their genre and consequently a perfect BORE at times) is even comparable to the likes of Maiden...............
"Living After Midnight" vs "2 Minutes to Midnight".........
Give me a fucking break..........
btw...........I love Priest
So what You Are saying is That Maiden is better than Priest or That You like Better Maiden than Priest?

There's a better maiden than a priest?
?
......I had no idea......................
...................oh my.......
Ah......anyway, to answer your question D I C K.......(for the record I thought my meaning was quite clear
).........................................BOTH

Agree on that, Infinite Dreams is a masterpice made by Steve Harris, lyrics and music, so mesmerazing!
, made from the best record that went out that year 1988 and probably of all 80's
, I guess is the best record that maiden ever made!
But to quote something more Painkiller for me is way better than Fear of the dark which are made on the same decade an 1 of the best records ever made on that decade.

I thought it was a thread dedicated to Judas Priest, Not who is better shit iron Maiden Or Judas Priest ?
I mean everyone has their own choices and likes.
What about Judas Priest lyrics? personally i really love them... they are so real!
Maybe we can make some top 5 Priest lyrics, what do you all think?
Mine are:
1 Beyond the realm of death
2 breaking the law
3 The ripper
4 Victim of changes
5 A touch of evil

JUDAS PRIEST played their first concert since reuniting with singer Rob Halford Wednesday night (June 2) at Stadiumsporthalle in Hannover, Germany. The group's entire setlist for the show was follows:
01. Hellion
02. Electric Eye
03. Metal Gods
04. Heading Out to the Highway
05. The Ripper
06. Touch of Evil
07. The Sentinel
08. Turbo Lover
09. Victim of Changes
10. Diamonds and Rust
11. Breaking the Law
12. Beyond the Realms of Death
13. The Green Manalishi (With the Two Pronged Crown)
14. Painkiller
Encore:
15. Hell Bent For Leather
16. Living After Midnight
17. United
18. You Got Another Thing Coming
According to a fan that attended the show, "The stage setting (backdrop) was the 'Electric Eye' DVD cover. Halford appeared in the eye! Halford's voice was in very go(o)d shape. He sang 'Victim of Changes' like on 'Unleashed (In the East)' (GREAT, FANTASTIC!!!!). After 'Metal Gods' he said that this was a very special night: the first gig of the PRIEST reunion after so many years. He looked awesome with spiked leather coats, changing on some songs. During 'Painkiller' he wore a spiked leather jacket. 'Hell Bent' = Harley, cap on. Sunglasses at the beginning of the show. Sound was awesome, not too loud, very clear. The band just fucked up on 'Green Manalishi' at one part (only the die-hards noticed that)."

Its a shame there can't be a full band reunion (that stupid drummer!)
I would love to see them live - i wonder what people at Ozzfest wil make of them, they have a very 80's sound i'm not sure how well that would go down with people that have never heard them before....

They'll sound great...........and HEAVY..............
Sure when I saw Steppenwolf....I couldn't believe how heavy they sounded live.....................
Besides..........when at a concert.......people know no real bounds.............they just get caught up in the music........
Moreover.......I'm willing to bet that Priest will make fools outta some of the younger bands with their set.........

Priest's 70's albums are actually their best, I've heard. Stained Class and Sad Wings of Destiny are supposedly their most notable. Of course, I can't find then ANYWHERE.
They actually took a step down in the 80's. Painkiller put them back on top, but Halford wanted to make another band, Fight. It sucked, and they only now have gotten back together.
I like Maiden's Blaze era more than Priest's Ripper era, by the way.

I dont think BLaze era was comercial
, i think Blaze was a baaaaaaaaaaaad singer for a band like Iron Maiden.
I would call comercial, an album like dance of death
