They are playing the E on the Fringe festival, at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Aug 25th.  I think there was earlier confusion as t-shirts at the Brixton gig had the date listed as Glasgow - but its def Ed.   peace
I only heard about it the day before it went on sale and it took me ages to get through online..  Seems to be some tickets on ebay though...

Mmm. Ish. But later, on their interactive service, they broadcast about half of their set. It was also on the website for a while. So there should be a good quality rip going round.

Oh, cheers for the post though!

Great gig - INSANELY hot.  Have only been to this venue once before and it wasnt that full or hectic a gig, but this one was like the heat of the fkn desert! The sweat was streaming off everyone and even the band said it was hotter than Peru!  Sound was pretty good in general and the crowd were mental!  Loved seeing a band I never thought i'd see again and it was a far smaller venue than I thought it would be! They fkn rocked. ok

Does anybody here like the last two Faith albums here besides me? I mean King for a Day gave berth to Nu-metal for fucks sake and Album of the Year had more balls than most of anything they've ever done, but don't get me wrong Angel Dust was truely amazing.

I like the 'mellower' songs on KFAD best. Evidence, Take This Bottle, Just A Man, Star AD etc. Though I do like a few of the heavier songs (Get Out, Gentle Art...) too, and I think it's an underrated album.

AOTY is good but IMO it's their weakest album overrall. Ashes To Ashes, Stripsearch, Collision and Home Sick Home are personal favourites.

I can't really choose between The Real Thing and Angel Dust as my favourite FNM album.

EDIT: I hope they come back to Edinburgh at some point! Didn't see them the other week. crying

AOTY was put together during the darkest point of the band. I mean the whole band was never in the room at once at any point in the recording process and half that album is some of Faith's best IMO.

As for Real Thing...I like that album alot, but it was all written without Patton...he was just a session singer more or less coming into the band, but it still makes for good music. Angel Dust to me was the first REAL Faith album...and I just love the darkness of that album.

I do hope they do a new album...and something tells me they might.

They did seem on great form with each other at the gig - lots of comedy remarks and they genuinely looked like they were having a great time.  It would be great if they decide to do another album.  I love AOTY and KFAD as well but Angel Dust is one of those albums that just stands out forever.  Patton's voice is incredible - and he can certainly carry it live still, no problem.

BlowUpYourVideo - fkn hope they come back to Edinburgh as well, really impressed they chose there over Glasgow for a change.  beer

I love KFOD, the guitar tones and drumming on that album is awesome, especially on the more aggressive stuff. Gentle Art of Making Enemies is still one of my favourite songs too.
I wouldn't call it Nu-Metal though, that's insulting to the band and the album.

I said it gave birth to nu-metal....never said it was nu-metal. I hate nu-metal...anyway.
